"A great find and conviently located. The gentleman on reception was great throughout my stay, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was a good size with lots of old period furnishings. Large comfy bed and a fan heater provided. AC worked well too though being the cooler months use of fan heater was needed. Large bathroom with good hot water shower. Located within walking distance to the Palace entrance gate and plenty of resturants nearby. Would definately recomend and stay here...

"We did not stay at the hotel. It was dirty smelly and the entrance to the hotel was lined with poo. In The room the waste bin had spit and dirt and muck on it. The sheets were dirty.     "Staying here was like living in a dream. My room had corner windows overlooking the lake. The architectural details made it feel magical. This is India; luxury is defined differently here. It’s more about how well you are treated, and the staff excelled in attentiveness and warmth. Too, they kept the hotel and restaurant impeccably clean. The rooftop restaurant has a splendid view. Too, sitting there, you can feel the depth of spirituality listening to the chanting from the nearby temple and hearing the call of the muezzin, as well as feel the legacy of the Mewar dynasty still influencing the city from the nearby palace. Gopal Singh made the Rooftop Restaurant a welcome refuge from the lively chaos of the nearby marketplace. Harsh, the manager, is also on his game… as was his assistant, whose name I did not catch. The hotel was very well-run. I was sad to leave. And hope someday to return. If you are in Udaipur, this is the place to stay, hands down. "
