"A lovely place to stay for a long weekend, lots of great little touches like a homemade cake and mini champagne by the bed! Very clean and well furnished. There were all the basics you’d need plus extra that you don’t normally get at accommodation- things like milk and ketchup that you might forget to bring. We loved our stay and there was a great pub within walking distance. We’ll be coming back if we’re around the area again! "

"This is a beautiful old farmhouse. The exterior pictures on the listing don’t do it justice really. The bedrooms are lovely: all very large with crisp white bedding. The birdsong is like a symphony. We had a fire every night in the fireplace in the big lounge. It has 3 sofas so was really comfy and roomy. Kitchen is well equipped with a long table to eat in and then another absolutely enormous dining table in the dining room next to the kitchen. We loved the outdoor space which has a hammock chair and a 3 seater outdoor sofa and looks onto a lawn surrounded by trees. It could probably do with a couple more outdoor chairs as otherwise there is only a picnic bench which isn’t that close to the other chairs so we couldn’t all sit out together but it’s a small gripe. You can walk to Skenfrith Castle just a few minutes down the road and there is a path within the Castle grounds which leads down to a river where you can swim. Beautiful location with lots of walks, although very hilly (some hills of 45 degrees for quite a distance) so not the best for the older family members."
