Great place!

We enjoyed our stay at Townhouse 13 in Olhao. It was located very close to the fish and vegetable market with easy access to many restaurants. There was also a grocery store just a few minutes away. The place was no frills but very comfortable and located on the first level for one of us who has difficulty with stairs. I would definitely stay here again!

Average apartment requiring some TLC

The apartment was adequate for our month long stay. It was closely located to the markets, super mercado, and restaurants and bars. The apartment is in an historic building which means lots of passerbys stopping for photo opportunities as well as artists drafting paintings. The street is very busy for a small street and is lively into the early hours. Given the time of year, it required 24/7 dehumidification due to dampness. If a little effort is spent to upgrade the apartment, such as the apartment upstairs which is lovely, we would definitely return.

Great location that requires some maintenance

Nice old house from the outside that many by passers take a photo of. The location close to the market hall of Olhao is very good. Unfortunately the first impression of the inside was a damp and moldy smell caused by black mold in the bathroom and under a leaking kitchen sink accompanied by some deficiencies in cleanliness. When the place was warmed up by electric heating an issue with the electric circuit breaker appeared. The handling of the issues by the service is very positive to mention. Although christmas time a handy man fixed the sink the next day. Overall we could enjoy the stay.

Very very disappointed

The only good point was the location. The property was not clean and very poorly maintained. It needs a full refurbishment. We were very disappointed and very dissatisfied. Very limited support to resolve the problems unhappyandmtoVedisinted in the hosts of this property

Très bien situé

Très joli appartement dans quartier calme et plein de couleurs. Juste à côté du marché, des bars et de toutes les commodités. Literie très confortable. Seul point négatif, l'odeur de renfermé et l'humidité très présente dans l'appartement. Nous avons eu froid la nuit et les vêtements sont tous humides. Sinon rien à dire, situation parfaite et tout équipé.

Ferienwohnung entsprach unseren Vorstellungen

In dem schönen Altstadtgebäude haben wir (2 ältere Personen) die Wohnung gewählt, weil sie ebenerdig lag, zwei Schlafzimmer hatte und ein Bad mit großer Dusche statt Wanne. Der kleine für uns ausreichend große Wohnbereich war unter anderem mit zwei bequemen Ohrenbackensesseln ausgestattet, die mal gereinigt werden sollten. Das gleiche gilt für den Teppich. Die Betten waren sehr angenehm. In der Küche konnte keine Espresso-Kanne benutzt werden, weil nur ein Induktionsherd vorhanden war. Die zur Verfügung gestellten Töpfe sollten mal erneuert werden, nützlich wäre u. a. auch eine Besteckgarnitur, Glasschlüssel und ein kleines Arbeitsbrett zur Zubereitung einen Salates oder anderer Gerichte. Den Innenhof haben wir sehr genossen, auch zum Essen im Freien, nachdem ich den Tisch repariert hatte. Die Lage der Wohnung nur ein paar Schritte entfernt von der Promenade und den beiden Markthallen sowie einer Stadtbus-Haltestelle war sehr günstig. Öfters benutzt haben wir auch den Bus oder Zug zur Besichtigung von Faro, Kleinstädten und Ferienanlagen (Tavira, Pedras del Rei usw.). Von Olhao aus lohnt sich auch ein Besuch der vorgelagerten Inseln mit ihren weiten, schönen Sandstränden. In der Stadt haben wir in den zwei Wochen verschiedene Lokale ausprobiert, am besten wurden wir in den Restaurants „O Franguinho“ und im „Frango da Cidade“ bewirtet. Immer wieder gerne besuchten wir in der Nähe die reichhaltige, preisgünstige „Pastelaria Padaria Clamy“ und den Supermarkt „Pingo Doce“.
