The Hansen House Is Large Open Suite That Sleeps 12. Near Kickapoo River.

Located in the small town of Ontario, Wisconsin the suite has a full kitchen and bathroom. Includes a pool table and Foosball table. 1 queen bed, 1 queen/full bunk bed, 2 queen sleepers, and 1 full-size sleeper. Sleeps 10-12. Private entry and stay. DirectTV and WiFi.The 1100 square foot suite is located above our garage has its own entrance. Newly completed and includes every thing you would need to cook meals for family and friends. Ontario is know nationally for canoeing on the Kickapoo River.The Elroy-Sparta bike trail is 9 miles away. Wildcat State Park is 2 miles away and has hunting, camping, horse back riding, and cross country skiing. Located in the middle of a traditional Amish community with multiude of shops. (Greenhouses, bakery, furnture, quilts, crafts, woven rugs, organic pruduce, leather work...) Kickapoo Valley Reserve is 8 miles away and has hiking, hunting, nature classes, and snow shoeing. Snowmobile trails lead throughout Vernon and Monroe County. Esther's Day Lily garden late June to August. La Crosse is 45 miles away. Near by towns: Wilton, La Farge, Hillsboro, Cashton, Sparta, Tomah, Norwalk, Kendall, and Elroy.

Fishing trip

This was a perfect location and get away for my family to get together and go fishing. John and his family are very nice and are great hosts. We look forward to all of us getting together here again for another fishing trip. All of the amenities were great! We played many games of pool and had plenty of time to relax. Perfect all around.

Great area for get-away!

Spacious studio with small bathroom. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking, including both types of coffee makers. Very friendly hosts, daughter even showed us her bunnies. Quiet neighborhood, small time vibe with great spots to eat just blocks away.

The property is a large open concept bonus room above their garage. Separate entry. Small bathroom with a stand up shower. Plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen is supplied with everything you could need except food. (Mix master, air fryer, full fridge & stove & dishwasher, utensils, dishes, pots & pans, plastic wrap, aluminum foil). They supply dish detergent, soap, paper towels. No stores in town so pack your own if you plan to cook. Pool table, foos ball, movies/tv, games/cards. Kickapoo River is 5 blocks away. We used Drifties for a canoe rental. Wildcat Mountain State Park is a 6 minute drive for here. (Don’t miss the look out point!) A couple bars in town but we didn’t go to any. One gas station with a few supplies but extremely expensive. Back yard has a fire pit. Bring your own wood. Owner, John is a good communicator and friendly but stays out of your business. I highly recommend this property and experience.

Great place and conveniently located

Celebrated the 48 annual KICKAPOO canoe float with all the guys. Great auxiliary accommodations to the local motel with lots of room. As advertised in one big and nicely. furnished room. 6 is a perfect. number of quests. Made good use of the most fully equipped modern kitchen in a B&B.

We were very happy with our stay here. The FROG (Family Room Over Garage) had everything we needed plus more, without feeling crowded. The drive to this small town was very scenic, and Ontario itself is a quiet, nice town. Thank you Jonn and Karin!

Old Friend Gathering

Some of my oldest friends have scattered to the winds so we sometimes rent out his property to spend a couple days catching up. It is located pretty close to the middle of us. The space is modern and well maintained, everything you need to cook. A great place to stay. Be aware that this is deep in the middle of nowhere, cell signal is not guaranteed.

Awesome place to stay in Ontario!

Overall the property was as advertised. Property manager did an excellent job of communicating before, during and after the stay. Only reason we did not give 5 stars was that the WiFi was extremely limited and could improve on the AC but it was adequate during our stay since the temperatures and humidity dropped.

Just what we were looking for

The space was huge and allowed our family a place to spread out and enjoy each other's company. Our boys loved the pool table and we had lots of Connect 4 games. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate quite a few of our meals there. The Hansen's were incredible and easy to work with. We also enjoyed the surrounding area. Our kids kept thanking us for staying here instead of a hotel. Thank you for the memories created!!!

The Hansen house is just as described.

Plenty of space for the two of us. It's a nicely appointed space with a full kitchen, bathroom, pool table, etc. We stayed here because it was only 13 minutes from a wedding we went to at Country Pleasures barn in Cashton. It was perfect for what we needed. Owner was easy to work with. Would definitely rent again. Thanks!
