We loved staying in Opua. It is quieter, low-key area, but 7 minutes away, by car, from Paihia. The windows and views are incredible! There is a little fish and chips shop that is really good a couple steps away. One thing of note: The ferry starts ramping up at 5:30 am, and shuts down at 10 p.m. ...
