The entire family can spend a fun filled week together in our roomy beach cottage. The beach is an easy, short 5 minute drive away and we're located just one block away from the Orange Beach Recreation Center which offers fitness classes, a gym, heated pool and tennis courts for a small daily fee. Our house is conveniently located near restaurants, marinas, and city parks. Osprey Watch, named after our neighborhood's world famous osprey offers you an escape to the coast - as well as an escape from the crowds.
Start your morning off with a cup of coffee in our porch swing or one our rocking chairs on the front porch. A big live oak tree covers our front yard with shade and the front porch has two ceiling fans to keep you cool. You’ll be greeted by the joggers and walkers that enjoy exercising in one of Orange Beach’s most welcoming neighborhoods.
The home features an open floor plan and is furnished 'beach style' with beautiful and comfortable rattan furniture. The living area contains a love seat, sofa, a recliner and an oversized chair with ottoman for kicking up your feet after a busy day at the beach or on the water. Reading lamps grace each side of the room which gives you plenty of light for reading your favorite novels. The room boasts a media center consisting of a 65' Smart TV. The home is Wi-Fi equipped which can be accessed from the entire house, including the porches and deck. A new addition this year is a beautiful electric fireplace to add some ambiance to your evenings. We're the perfect rental for game day football watching.
Osprey Watch has been our second home for the past 15 years and our kitchen is equipped better than most rentals. We have a deep fryer, food processor, blender, toaster, iced tea maker, cookie sheets and even a cake pan. There is regular food and then there’s beach food. This kitchen is stocked for beach food! There is even an old fashioned ice cream churn for creating memories as well as a delicious dessert. Our table seats 8 comfortably.
Osprey Watch sleeps 6 comfortably in their own beds. No need for a sleeper sofa when you have this many beds. All of the bedrooms, have their own LCD TVs. Bedroom #1 has twin beds, Bedroom #2 and has a king bed. These bedrooms adjoin a large bathroom with tub/shower combo.
The large master suite has new luxurious bedding and high thread count sheets. An antique desk serves as a makeup table and makes it easy to get ready for dinner at one of Orange Beach’s fabulous restaurants. An ensuite bathroom is decorated with beadboard wainscoting that adds to the cottage style decor. The master has a LCD Smart TV for watching movies in bed.
One of our favorite features of the house is the HUGE 600 square foot screen porch which runs the entire width of the home. The porch has new wicker furnishings including two wicker chairs and a dining set that seats 6. We spend a lot of time on the porch thanks to three ceiling fans that keep everything cool. Strings of white lights surround the porch in soft light creating a magical atmosphere.
The porch has a ping-pong table as well as a Bimini Ring Game (just like the one at LuLu's). Visitors to our house stay entertained for hours playing this simple game. Be careful if you get challenged to play by one of the kids!
The screen porch opens onto a large deck which has an umbrella covered patio set for additional seating. The deck is also home to a new CharBroil Infrared gas grill and we have sizzling steak plates for serving your creation in style. With all of this, you may find yourself eating out less and enjoying more family time at the cottage. Our backyard is professionally landscaped and managed and is surrounded by a privacy fence so you can feel at ease letting your kids (or pet) play outside. The deck includes a gas firepit during the months where it can be used.
The neighborhood has 2 private sandy beaches where your kids can play without crowds. In addition, there is another area at the end of our street with a private pier. Around the corner is a small public area with another pier. You are literally surrounded by water in our neighborhood and there are plenty of access points to allow you to enjoy it.
FOR THE BOATER - Our house has ample room to park your boat. We can park our 22 ft bay boat in the driveway and even keep the tow vehicle connected. When you return from a day on the water, a water hose is conveniently located to flush out the motor. Our neighborhood has a private boat launch that provides hassle free launching. The launch is located on Bay La Launch and is convenient for trips to Pirate’s Cove, The Wharf and LuLu’s. Perdido Pass is a short hop away with minimal No Wake Zone waiting.
FOR THE PET LOVER - Our house features a fenced in back yard. The house is pet friendly and most of the house is tile flooring. Our neighborhood is great for dog walking and Orange Beach’s Dog Park is only 1 mile away. Another great option is the Hugh Branyon Backcountry Trail. It's a wonderful paved trail that runs from Orange Beach to the Gulf State Park. It is pet friendly.
FOR THE FISHERMAN - Our family has been in the charter boat business in Orange Beach for almost 35 years. We have two boats and can accommodate your group from 4 persons to over 20.
