Quiet get-away

We stayed for a weekend, 2 weeks before Christmas, and the whole building was pretty much empty. We only saw a few other guests the whole time. The condo itself is a little outdated, but it was clean, cozy, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the showers hot, and although the tv's were small, they were reliable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed Guests

As a guest we were very disappointed upon our arrival to find there were no warm welcoming beach vibes as this is my home away from home for a few days. I had to text for a spread or comforter for the master bedroom, hot water faucet handle in master bath fell off in my hand, 2nd bedroom door knob very loose and could fall off, laundry light was either shot or didn’t work at all, door stop kept falling down every time went out door, keypad didn’t work properly, had to input several times before would unlock, only one fork in kitchen utensil drawer, kitchen counter tops are sticky from what they covered then with, wall outlets need to be updated, some didn’t work and some wouldn’t hold a charger due to the outlet so big and would just fall out, and upon leaving a large roach ran across the living room floor. Yes, someone wanted to spray one morning and we wouldn’t let them due to the odor, this needs to be done in between cleanings and not when guests are there. This is a condo unit that needs to have some major TLC with more beach decor and just going through and seeing what all needs to be done. Needs major upgrading because what I paid, I expect not to have to be texting every little bit of the findings to keep from not being responsible for the next guests who arrived and deals with it as well. The only great thing I can say was the beachfront/ocean front view

Quick trip

Location and beach access was very good. Unit needs some updating. Number of outlets did not work and not enough utensils to go around. It was clean.

Property was in a great location but when we arrived there were no sheets on one of the beds and the mattress cover had stains. Called, emailed and texted finally brought sheets on the second day. Half the outlets in the didn’t work. King bed had severe dips in the mattress. Overall unit didn’t look or feel clean Unit definitely needs and upgrade!!! But again, can’t complain about the location!

The condo is very dated & worn, unlike photos. The kitchen countertops were sticky despite my numerous attempts to clean them. The master bedroom didn’t have a comforter, a thick curtain like material was on top of the sheets. The bathtub was stained, as well as faucets, and all light switches & outlets. Not worth the price we paid.

The view is awesome! But...the property is in need of some tlc.

The drains don’t drain well, the closets don’t close properly, the beds are old and hard. The place just needs some minor fixes and updates and it would be wonderful. However, the view is amazing and for the price it’s not a bad deal.

The best feature of this property is the oceanfront view. It was excellent. The place is convenient - easy access to beach as well as closeby shopping (restaurants, groceries...). Tennis courts on premises too. If you are looking for luxury, this is not for you. The place is average and could use some updates. As others have noted - the main bedroom lavatory does not drain quickly (but was a minor issue). There is a curious issue with electric sockets - where there are two on a wall, only one works - so bring 3-to-1 adapters with you ($1 at the dollar store). The furniture and mattresses are also a bit dated but reasonable. Bottom line - we wanted a place to have a nice time on the beach, and have a wonderful view from your balcony, this place was just what we needed. If you want luxury, this is not it. We wanted the former, and so we were satisfied overall.

This unit has potential to be amazing… but fell short.

This unit has potential to be amazing… but was so dirty and poorly maintained it was a disappointment. It could really use some TLC and a better cleaning staff. Positives of our stay: - Location is amazing – close to restaurants, stores, entertainment, beach - Balcony view is as advertised – amazing view! - The Phoenix I was very nice – large pool, lots of charcoal grills, short boardwalk to beach - Accurate listing from features standpoint – 2bd, 2ba, pull out couch, W/D, stocked kitchen, etc. What was wrong with our stay: - Guest bed was full of sand upon arrival - Dishwasher full of last guest’s dishes - Master shower: moldy shower liner, ceiling falling apart, hot water handle falling off and difficult to turn on or off, used towels from previous guest on back of the door - Guest bath: moldy shower liner, used towels from previous guest on back of the door - Urine stain on the couch mattress pad - Back sliding door (living room) made a loud whistling noise (think: train) when it stormed. Scared the daylights out of my kids. - In-unit telephone (with Vacasa direct line) was not connected to use - Cracked/chipped tiles, stains on walls and floors. - Sliding closet doors are falling off their tracks in master bedroom and in dining area. - We were not provided with toilet paper, paper towels, towels, or cleaning products until a few hours after our check in time. We had already purchased everything locally by time Vacasa came by to deliver our items. No communication on the delay of these items. - Called Vacasa immediately upon arrival (re: back door, bulbs, towels, cleaning) and was on hold for 2hrs before hanging up. We were unable to contact Vacasa during our trip to get assistance. Some nice to knows or haves: - The W/D are a nice feature but are VERY small – only 3 pool towels fit in the washer at once. As stated in the property listing, you can only use the washer OR the dryer – food for thought while packing. - There were ZERO cleaning supplies provided outside dishwasher tablets, liquid dish soap, and laundry soap. No disinfectants/products, no vacuum, nothing. Kind of gross if you think about it. - Backup lightbulbs would be nice. We had one that was out when we arrived. - Since this property is owned/managed by Vacasa, the staff and the Phoenix can’t do anything to help you – they are very friendly, but that’s about all they can do for you. Overall, I would absolutely stay in the Phoenix again, but not in a Vacasa managed unit.

The room wasn’t very clean upon arrival, and the staff couldn’t tell us much since we booked through someone else wasn’t very helpful! Other than that we enjoyed our stay and the view was beautiful

Beautiful Condo View

We loved the view of the beach from our condo. The condo was clean, however the furniture was not very comfortable. The refrigerator, stove and dishwasher all need some maintenenance. We still had a great time and enjoyed that view!!
