Ideal place to stay for a short trip to the Redwoods!
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. Close to many trails and views of Redwoods. The loft is cozy and clean!

Nice place for visiting the Redwoods
The place was quaint. The bed upstairs was very comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner. The coffee and tea station was very thoughtful. It was very hard to locate the entrance of Unit B. Shared parking is not marked, so the other Unit (A) kept parking wherever they wanted and we had to park differently each time. Overall, we would stay here again, the redwoods are amazing and have beautiful trails.

Spider Webs and No WiFi
Although the towels and linens were clean, there were spider webs inside and outside everywhere. The listing shows that this place has internet, but it DOES NOT. The place needs to be updated too.

Very clean but requires some improvement in other area
The location and the inside of the barn loft is perfect. I have knee pain so getting downstairs to the washroom in the middle of the night is a big inconvenience. Even though I prevailed in getting down every night without falling down. So, maybe I missed something in the description of the physical location, ie; not suitable for people with knee problems because there’s no washroom upstairs. The actual biggest issue I have is the lack of contact from outside. There’s no wifi nor cellular service once we’re inside the barn . If something happened to either one of us, it likely we wouldn’t call for help. Just think about how to improve in this area would help future customers. I’m currently staying in a remote location outside Brookings. Cellular service is very spotty along 101 but at least there’s wifi in the house so that I can write this review. It’s a safety issue please think on it.

Sweet Cabin
The cabin was wonderful! Beautifully decorated with plenty of room in the living room and bedroom. The kitchen/bathroom set-up was a little strange with the same sink used for both but it was workable. Amazing experience overall! An added bonus was that we saw a huge number of elk just across the highway on our last morning there. So fun!

Fantastic property
We love the property and the location could not be better for hiking fans. Two trails are literally behind the house! One drawback is the water pressure. Several times we had to wait at least an hour before the water pressure was sufficient to shower. Even with this small annoyance, we would stay here again.

Beautiful setting but avoid for neighbors
Not what you expect from the listing Barely functional internet (“no streaming allowed” sign$ shouldn’t be a surprise to find out about when you get there. The idyllic looking farmhouse is apparently a multi unit apartment building with the thinnest walls of anywhere I’ve ever lived. Heard singing, pots banging and normal conversation through the walls early in the morning and late at night. Disingenuous listing as the place is not suitable for a romantic getaway. I rented a separate unit to stay at most of the days we were there because of these issues.

The location couldn’t be any better and the attention to detail/ communication from the property managers was outstanding. Pro tip turn off the heater well before bed because even if it’s cold downstairs it’s boiling upstairs.

Lovely place! Would certainly stay here again.
We had an excellent stay! Facility was very good, though water pressure for the shower wasn't great. On several mornings and/or late afternoons we had a herd of elk grazing just outside the building - which was great except for all the people who stopped from the highway to get out and take photos. Location was an excellent base for our daily trips out and about for hiking excursions.

Beautiful stay, peaceful and serene
The property was beautiful and it’s right in the middle of amazing trails we had a great time walking them. One downside to the stay was the couple staying in the area above our loft had a dog and dog poop was left all along the middle of our walkway, we couldn’t avoid it and stepped in it a few times, it was quite disturbing. Other than that it was a wonderful stay and would love to stay again.

Location, Location, Location
This property sits right on top of several wonderful trailheads leading off into the Redwood Forest. It is also a frequent feeding ground for an entire herd of Rosevelt Elk. We were visited en mass on three different days by the entire herd and two other days by a solitary male of magnificent stature. The property is clean and comfortable for a couple. Be aware when you look at the kitchen and bathroom, it all works with a little imagination. Just remember, you're camping and you're right in the middle of the Reddwood Forest.
