Absolutely loved our hotel during our stay in the Dolomites. Wonderful breakfast in their beautiful dining room. Dinner was very good here as well. Perfect location, large spacious room with a balcony and gorgeous mountain views. Slippers and robe provided, and nice bathroom amenities. Complimentary snacks in the bar each evening.

Beautiful little boutique hotel just steps away from Main Street in Ortisei one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Hotel was elegant yet comfortable, staff super friendly and helpful. Bartender Nicola was always there on arrival in the afternoons with a smile and a fresh Hugu Spritz, which we took to the awesome pool. Restaurant serves great breakfast with fresh baked goods as well as lunch or dinner available if you stay in and the food and wine selection is excellent.

Lovely hotel with terrific facilities in a superb location. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, great food. Right in the centre of Ortisei, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Ski lifts giving access to the high mountain pastures are close by, but you can also walk straight from the door.

여기 진짜 좋아요! 가족들과 가느라 방 2개 예약했는데, 특히 4층방은 정말 좋았어요! 직원들도 친절했고, 조식도 좋았어요! 마을도 걸어서 5분내로 있어요. 아침에 수영장(실내)에서 수영했는데 그것도 좋았어요. 다시 가고 싶어요!

Charming small hotel with personal touches

After a day of hiking it was wonderful to come back to a swim in the pool with a gorgeous view. Lots of nice little touches, like tea and water by the spa, food in the bar in the afternoon, and very friendly desk staff and bartender, Nick, who would bring drinks poolside. Breakfast choices were excellent. The beds were comfortable, (no top sheet, though, just a comforter). Other reviews complained about road noise for our side of hotel, but we slept with a window open and heard only the water, not traffic.

Hotel Angelo Engel is perfection! The front desk staff, including Katherine and Margarite, along with owners Nils and Hideki, made everything from checkin to daily planning a pleasure. Our room was very clean, quiet, spacious and charming, with robes and slippers provided and a lovely balcony overlooking the lawn area. Breakfast and dinner included are included in the rate, and the dining options are varied and excellent. The staff did everything to make our stay special. One example: we didn't finish a bottle of wine on our second night and left it on the table. The next evening, our waiter brought it out, nicely chilled, and served us the remainder. There is a lovely indoor-outdoor heated pool, a beautiful sauna, and spa treatments by appointment. There is a very nice bar off the lobby with a friendly and talented bartender, Nicola, who made the best Americano cocktail of the trip. We attended a free wine tasting in their cellar, where we learned about notable local wines. They provide several free guided hikes during the week, and Georg, the guide, is great -- knowledgeable about the terrain, the area and where to get the best post-hike lunch on the mountain. The hotel is just a short walk to town and the gondola stations, and yet it feels like it's off in the countryside--so peaceful!

This hotel has a lot of positives, however the ONLY issue I have is that the staff is very unfriendly. For example, my mom asked them if she could heat up a bowl of instant rice that she purchased because she wasn't feeling well and the front desk worker said mama mia rolled her eyes and took the rice. The staff also did not say hi to us unless we said hi first. Needs work on customer service but the amenities, facilities and location are top tier.

The best of all worlds…home away from home.

This place thinks of everything breakfast and dinners on site are absolutely incredible! The skiing is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I just can’t tell you how much this place was like home away from home for me because the staff make you feel so comfortable. I would stay here again and again and again, but it’s a big wide world out there and so I must explore! If I’m ever in the area again I would stay here without a doubt.

Cortesia ed efficienza lodevoli da parte di tutto il personale (reception,sala ristorante,servizio di camera),pulizia inappuntabile. Premurosa gentilezza del titolare Sig. Demetz. This hotel is example for perfect value for money. Everything was super high quality and clean. I liked that it’s not a big hotel so it’s feel like adults only spa hotel. My only suggestion for the hotel management is to convert the hotel the a real adult only hotel. The small amount of kids was the only thing that bothers us during our stay.

Special gem in the Dolomites

Amazing location with indoor/outdoor pool and various saunas and steam rooms. It’s not only a great hotel - it’s a great spa! Free daily guided cycling trips with E-bikes. Special restaurant with friendly attentive staff. Will come back!

Amazing boutique hotel one minute walk from Ortisei in the heart of Val Gardena. Extremely comfortable rooms, with a FULL SPA ! Saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms and indoor/outdoor pools. Hotel Angelo even sponsored FREE guided E-Bike tours into the local trails with guides. So spectacular scenery everywhere you look and go. Would be a fabulous location to come and ski.
