Very clean, great breakfast buffet and super location ….. however the bar next door is very loud with music till 1 am … so hopefully you are a deep Sleeper or like myself use earplugs. Folks at reception super nice

This hotel was well located to explore Oslo and the rooms were clean and comfortable, however only one elevator was working for the 3 days we stayed. The buffet was superb with good and interesting variety of foods provided

Hotel Thon Cecil is in a great location. It is close to all the sites in the harbor area and also the center of Oslo with its shops and restaurants. Although the room was clean and updated it was very small. It was hard to navigate around and find a place to put my suitcase.

Excellent hotel

Loved everything about this place - nice location and rooms, excellent staff, great breakfast. Only issue was my junior suite was above a club that played music until 3am. Luckily it was more of a piano club so no drums, but still interrupted my sleep

The Thon Hotel Cecil was in a great location to tour Oslo. My room was nicely appointed … only the mini fridge cooler did not seem to work. But they have ice machines at each end of the second floor. I appreciated that they cut out the wire around my window during construction so I could see out. The breakfast buffet each morning was a delight with lots of options … including vegan. The evening meal of soup and salad was a delightful surprise to be included … I highly recommend the delicious vegetable soup!&

"The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options. The room, however, was quite small and the hotel felt a bit overcrowded during our stay. Unfortunately, the temperature in the room couldn't be adjusted, and the fan seemed to be constantly on, which made the air feel too drafty at times.

Excellent breakfast included in the room rate. Good comfy beds. A problem wit construction that started at about 7.30 every morning. Not quite clear if it affected just our room or floor. We were top floor. But I’d recommend you ask about that. Otherwise very comfy and clean. Close to all major tourist areas.

Solo Senior Traveler.

This was an amazing week in a well-located hotel. The food was incredible. Service excellent. Room very big with warm bathroom tiles, fridge, great internet. Most of all the staff was superb. The hotel layout was a little complex in room assignment. I had a beautiful stay and would definitely recommend this Thon Hotel Cecil.

Great hotel, location, great staff. Only difficult thing is getting to the room, they have a new section and old section. have to take two elevetators and walk in between seems like an inconvenience.

Buffet service George and Emily outstanding service Elevator one of which does not function Tiny little room, all staff would say “ we are fully booked!!” At least Miss TOMA would say differently but some staff are blunt No way I could get a better room for 3 nights I’m globalist with Hyatt Platinum with Marriott Diamond with Hilton Tried your independent hotel.. there’s no comparison., you have a long way to go to impress and improve

Nice hotel. Great staff.

Hotel was nice. Reception staff were A+ polite, helpful and interested in how you were. Travelled alone with room appearing to be a large single rather than a double. It could also get quite noisy as i was on the main street above a bar. Breakfast was good but the hotel does suffer from a lack of bar.
