"We’ve stayed here a handful of times and have always had a good experience! Unfortunately this last visit didn’t live up to our normal expectations. We had a room that was not fully clean, ie condiments left in the fridge, a contact on the nightstand, and sand on the floor. The reason we love this spot is because it’s laid back and more home-like, so we expect things to happen like having a lightbulb out in the bathroom. What we did not expect, was the microwave to break mid-popcorn popping in the late hours of the night, with no way to fix it. My husband tried to mess with the breaker behind the fridge, but the entire microwave went out and even locked the popcorn inside. It’s the older things in the units that I think could use an update to avoid situations like this. I wouldn’t normally write a review over these few things, but it’s how the innkeeper blew everything off and didn’t offer any sort of apology or compensation that put us off. While my husband may have seemed unbothered during their conversation, we both left feeling like we bothered her with our concerns, even after mentioning we were repeat visitors. Hopefully this will help them address things with more care moving forward with the guests staying with them."
