NOT worth the price to stay here

This property has SO much potential! The area is gorgeous, pool wonderful (although cold bc not heated), vicinity of amenities is wonderful and Starved Rock State Park just 10 mi away is awesome... but the upkeep was awful. And, service at the Red Dog Restaurant on site was awful. Unfortunately, overgrown weeds, broken bedroom blinds, a dirty bathroom, and lack of amenities we actually used were not worth the price. We couldn't wait to get home. :(

Anniversary Get-Away

My husband and I rented this adorable cabin as part of our anniversary get-away. We loved everything about our stay! Very clean, a fully equipped kitchen, lots of comfy placed to relax and situated in an adorable resort to take walks in. After a great day of hiking at Starved Rock we had dinner at the restaurant right on site...the food was excellent and the view was beautiful. Wouldn't have changed a thing!!!

We enjoyed the area.

We enjoyed the area. Our first time there and hope to return to see how it is during the busy season to be able to enjoy more things, such as the pool and Tiki bar. I was lost in the area, exited at 93 and should of used exit 90. Called and Rich guided us to Harbor Inn. He stayed on the phone with us and got us there in minutes. Was very thankful for his help, and he seemed happy to help! Thank you.

it was enjoyable, there was no cover for the grill. Would be nice if there were instructions for the coffee machine. there were dishes, but somewhat eclectic at best. hard to find a set of mugs for coffee, but no big deal. the cottage was very clean and nicely appointed. did not meet any staff

We loved everything about our stay at Heritage Harbor. We have already recommended your property to family & friends who may be visiting Ottawa in the near future. Thank you for making our short stay a fantastic one for our family. Before I booked our reservation, I had a few questions & called. Your staff was such a big help explaining everything about your rental properties. He also gave us a few great tips when we mentioned we were specifically visiting the area to hike Starved Rock. Also, your front desk (check-in) staff & other workers (pool cleaners, restaurant workers, etc) were all so friendly. Heritage Harbor staff ROCKS!
