This hotel was what you’d expect for the price. The hallway stank like cigarettes and pot. But our room smelled good and was clean. The ac unit buttons were broken but the unit worked. The blankets and towels were thin but clean. It was a fine place to stay if you’re on a budget.

It is importantly to note that the one staff we interacted with was really helpful. That said, our bedsheets appeared to have not been changed, so we had them changed. The hotel was quiet and parking was easy. The bathtub and shower head were heavily stained, and the hallway was laden with cigarette smoke. The smell was prominent in our room as well. I do not recommend this hotel.

Longtime staffers Beth + Amanda genuinely happy + helpful, a real blessing for work travellers. Old, well maintained hotel, peaceful, two 18-wheel, very tight curb parking. Bowling alley/pub grub next door. Great place, quiet. Shhh, don't tell anyone, keep this our little secret.

DO NOT STAY—reserve early somewhere else! This was an extremely disappointing stay. The room smelled like smoke and looked as though it hadn’t been updated in at least 10 years. The bed felt like sleeping directly on a box spring—I could literally feel the springs. Bedding consisted of one sheet and a thin blanket. The room was tiny, with just a king bed and an office chair. The window air conditioner sounded like a jet engine preparing for takeoff, making it even harder to sleep. On top of that, a dog kept barking throughout the night. We called the front desk at 1 a.m. on our second night, but the barking continued. Breakfast consisted of only toast, yogurt, apple juice, and coffee. We also received no housekeeping service on the second day. We would have changed hotels, but Northfield has limited options, and every other establishment was sold out for parents’ weekend. If you’re planning a visit, book somewhere else early. I would not stay here again.

Air conditioning was bad too hot to sleep they gave us another room was the same thing until about 3 in the morning it cooled down when they clean they leave curtains open and air turned way up it cant catch up hallways on second floor very warm also Ist floor might have been fine but when its 90 degrees + out they need to turn the air down some in the rooms so ithe air has a chance to keep up.

We pulled up and were disappointed in how poorly maintained the outside looked. Lobby was dark. We did not even check in and when I called hotels.com to share our experience, our agent couldn’t even get them to answer the phone. I don’t mind simple and cheap. This was something different.
