Pagosa trip

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. From the pictures on the listing, we thought we were on the lake. We were actually across the street (but could see the lake between the houses across the street). It was a lovely home, but there are no curtains or blinds on the front of the house, including the window in the primary bedroom which faces the road. Also, as stated, the internet was very slow or basically nonexistent so bring games or cards because streaming will be non-reliable.

I have mixed feelings about our stay. The house is very visually appealing and the ad for it gives one high expectations that were not really met. The ad leads one to believe there is a garage available to use. It was not available. The add has a view of a lake and a dock that leads you to believe it is close to a lake and you will have use of the dock. You do not. The small print does tell you that it is a just a "view" from the house. We had to call and ask where the nearest public dock was as that information was not given in the ad or any information we received. It leads one to wonder why? The add says paddle boards will be available upon request. We requested them and they were provided. But then we were told that we had to turn them in after one day (we had booked a 4 day stay) and that we might or might not get replacements for them for one day. We did get replacements, but it led to inconvenience and schedule adjusting on our part. The floors creak in the house by the bedrooms (not great for when part of the group wants to sleep and others stay up). One of the bedrooms had no curtains so sleeping in was hard with all the light coming in. Several of the bedroom bathrooms are small and the doors into them open such that they nearly divide the room into two rooms, thus making it hard to move around in the room. The living room has no curtains which will soon lead to a beautiful wood floor becoming faded. Only decaf coffee was provided.
