"The Lodge seemed recently renewed, looked very good overall and reflected pride in ownership. This is a revamped motel so you should not expect the same experience that you might from a standard Marriott or Hilton. We had a plumbing issue that management did not offer to fix and caused us to seek the nearest Starbucks to solve in short term. Discussing this with what appeared to be the owner, he seemed aware of the issue and had sent a plumber previously to repair it. But somehow, it was not fixed. All in all, the owner was a decent guy and the facilities were fair for the price. I would go back if in the area."

"My partner and I recently stayed here and had a really pleasant experience overall. Check-in was quick and easy, which made the start of our stay smooth. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The area around the hotel was also quiet, and it was conveniently located a short distance from San Juan Bautista, which made it a great base for exploring the area. There were a couple of small downsides. The AC unit was a bit noisy and occasionally made some loud clicking sounds while running. The walls also seemed a little thin, as we could hear people talking in the room next door. That said, the staff was extremely friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast was fairly basic, but still filling and a nice way to start the day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again."
