"Property was well situated for walking and Southwald. The room was a good size and the information to access the property was very good. Parking was also good.
Unfortunately the weather was cold and wet, so bathroom heating would have been appreciated. The plumbing was noisy ie air in the system, which woke us up during the night."

"We stayed in the Family room (123) with a double bed and bunk beds cozy and did what it needed to do. No thrills but no nasty surprises either! Didn’t use the pool however looked clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly. Left my pillow in the room with iPad into and staff kept it safe and gave it back as soon as I asked about it.
Would certainly stay again. Also in a great seafront location"
"Our stay at the wherry hotel in oulton broads was fantastic, beautiful clean room so cosy, everything you need with toiletries are supplied in bathroom the staff are amazing they can't do enough for you to make you feel welcome they all went above and beyond during our stay, they all should feel so proud of themselves, this is our 3rd stay at the wherry hotel and will be booking another stay very soon, and with ample parking at the hotel there's no issues with parking, big thankyou to everyone at The Wherry hotel ☺️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"The receptionist didn’t acknowledge me as I approached the desk to check in as she was busy checking her phone. When she finally realised I was there she made me feel like it was a hassle to serve me and she couldn’t wait for me to leave. A polite enquiry about the time for breakfast was met with a roll of the eyes. The staff in the bar/restaurant weren’t much better. It was busy to be fair but they made me feel far from welcome. I left and ate at The Fig nearby instead where the staff were much nicer. Budget hotel, budget experience"
"Fantastic hotel. Our room was lovely & clean. Food in the hotel was really nice & the Sunday roast was amazing. Staff are friendly & helpful, will definitely stay here again."
"We checked in but decided not to stay and booked alternative accommodation instead.
The room itself was tidy; however, the overall property was very different from how it appeared in the listing photographs. The atmosphere and communal areas did not reflect what we expected based on the description and images provided. The advertised restaurant was not operating, the TV in our room had no signal, the Wi-Fi was not working, and there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor outside the room.
As I was travelling with my son, who has additional needs, I did not feel comfortable remaining at the property and chose to leave shortly after arrival. I appreciate that others may have a different experience, but I personally felt the accommodation was not accurately represented by the listing and would not have booked had I known its true condition."
"The Ship at Dunwich is ideally situated, just a very short walk from the shingle beach, making it a perfect base for exploring this atmospheric stretch of the Suffolk coast. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, and were also extremely knowledgeable about the local area, offering helpful advice on walks and places to visit.
Our room was compact, but comfortable, with a very good bed and a surprisingly spacious en suite. The hotel has a relaxed, characterful feel and works especially well as a starting point for some excellent coastal and countryside walks.
It’s perfectly possible to walk along the shingle beach towards Walberswick and on to Southwold, while the Sandlings Walk offers a different but equally rewarding route along the eroding cliffs, through dense woodland and past the remarkable ruins of Greyfriars Priory.
A lovely place to stay if you want comfort, warmth and easy access to one of the most distinctive landscapes on the Suffolk coast."
"We stayed one night, myself and my two teenage children in the family suite. It was a gem of a hotel. Clean, very nicely decorated. Great bedroom and bathroom. Really comfy bed (and I am very fussy). Beautiful towels and toiletries. Nice food in the evening, fabulous breakfast. We didn’t make it down for the complimentary canapés but I am sure we will be back."
