Days before my trip, the French Polynesian government reinstated a curfew & then changed to a "soft lockdown" (self-quarantine EVERY DAY vs just the weekend). These changes were abrupt, but I kept in contact with Hotel Sarah Nui & their staff was AMAZING at helping me with all my questions & reassuring me of what was happening, as it happened.
Because of this my arrival late at night (& in the curfew hours), went smoothly. Check-in was easy & fast because they were expecting me. The room was clean, spacious & great for my 2-night stay.
The staff at Hotel was very friendly & helpful whilst I was there & the location is minutes away from the ferry making my transit day that much better.
The ONLY thing I'd caution travelers on, particularly if French polynesia is still in their "soft lockdown", is that there aren't many food options available nearby.
The hotel serves a small breakfast "buffet" for a reasonable fee...but no lunch or dinner & no room service.
Other than that, which was only an issue because of the government's changes to restrict movements, I would highly recommend staying here & would stay again in the future!
