Parioli Historic Hotel

"The stay started poorly due to the hotel’s shuttle being very difficult to locate, which resulted in an unexpected €25 taxi fare. When I raised this at reception, the response was dismissive and not helpful. The initial room I was given was dark, dated, and overlooked the parking lot. When I asked to change rooms, I was told I would need to pay extra, and my concerns were not taken seriously at first. To their credit, after seeing how unhappy I was, the staff eventually made an effort to improve the situation. However, the overall experience was disappointing"

"No AC in April. Room very hot and stuffy. Bath/shower very narrow, dangerous getting out as there is no safety bar to hold onto. Good location, easy to get around"

"We stayed in a "delux" bungalow.... it was hardly delux. yes it was clean but it was very basic ... there is a fridge but no cups/glasses/plates/kettle ect ... Location wise it was fine , a bus & a metro ride to most of the sites "

"Breakfast was phenomenal. Rooms were spacious and mini bar first rate. Spa was nice and quiet. Staff was 5 stars helping us get a last minute tour to the Vatican. Would return in a heartbeat!"

"The restaurant and staff are the best part of this hotel. The rooms were pretty basic, the bed squishy, decor was minimal and outdated. I was very surprised that this was a Hilton property given how it looked. "

"We stayed here for five nights and found the room compact but perfectly adequate for our needs. A quick tip for those visiting in the spring: the A/C was not yet activated during our stay in late March and early April, as it isn't turned on until the summer months. Also, if you need to iron, there is a dedicated ironing room located on the 5th floor. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. The continental breakfast was phenomenal a perfect way to fuel up before a day of exploring. The location is both safe and convenient; being next to a federal building limits traffic primarily to taxis, and some of Rome’s best gelato is right around the corner. It’s also within easy walking distance of most major sites."

"Ok. Not great. Not bad. Just ok. Our room was clean but had a set of stairs and an outside door right outside our room. Our neighbours came back at 1:30am two nights and woke us up, not because the were noisy, but because the shared door was so close to us. I don’t think the location is particularly good. It’s 12 minutes walk from Termini which is why we chose it but 30 minutes walk to the nearest must-see sight. If you want a fancy hotel that’s near the sights, book elsewhere. "
