Property is fine but dated, it's Paris. 5 minutes from Notre Dame and close to Chatelet metro station. Hidden away in an alley but easy to find.

This hotel oozes charm and character. It's not new, but I gave the property 5 stars because it felt cozy, warm and FRENCH! I live in a modern city, so for a change, I wanted the tiny elevator, the narrow winding stairs, the vintage furniture, wallpaper and velvet pillows. It was lovely. Every person I met who worked there was extremely kind, polite and patient. I even liked the old fashioned keys you leave at the desk. I was very comfortable and the neighborhood was safe. The bar/restaurant next door was wonderful. I like to walk everywhere and the location was central and convenient. I'm not a morning person so I didn't have breakfast, but it was available. You can pay for it one day at a time. I thought the price was very reasonable. I'm so glad I stayed there.

Cute little hotel! needs a little updating, not in the most obvious spot, and there are a few sketchy alleyways around the entrance. that being said, however, i did have a great experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

I am 5’5”. My head kept hitting the ceiling in our bathroom. I’m actually injured. The hotel looks nice and the staff is excellent but if you end up on the 6th floor the rooms have been converted from an attic. The ceilings are low and there was no room to put our bags down. Literally. We had to stack them on a small table when we were in the bed.

It is a very old hotel, and the rooms are quite small. It happened to be hot at the time we visited and the centrally controlled air conditioning was inadequate, particularly at night. The staff were accommodating, but not particularly interested in doing anything to enhance our stay. The location was the only really selling point.

The location of the hotel is excellent right by Notre Dame and the Louvre, and the lobby is adorable and charming. The room was much less so, the most pressing concern was spots of black mold on the ceiling in the shower, but generally the carpet was threadbare, the desk in the room near falling apart and the room had a shabby feel about it. We arrived very late so after a very thorough search for bugs (didn't find any!) we spent one of our planned two nights here. The next day my wife and I moved to a hotel nearer to the Eiffel Tower, and I'm thankful we did as the cleanliness and comfort were leagues better. This hotel has an amazing location, and could be great, but they need to clean their act up.

Wonderful location for exploring Paris, we found the hotel unique and full of Parisian charm. Our family room was on the 5th floor, we appreciated the original features of our room including beams, stone wall, traditional fabric wall covering and a beautiful vintage mural outside the window. The staff were very helpful and attentive, and we were able to leave our luggage in their care on our last day. Overall a very comfortable stay, thank you.

The positives were that it's location was very good for walking the streets of Paris. Both the Louvre and Notre Dame were close, the Seine only a block away and there were dozens of Cafes and restaurants within a short stroll from the hotel. Metro stations were also easy to reach and covered all of the city. Negative was the condition of the room. We knew that the hotel was an old building, and had booked it for exactly that quality, but the TV faced the entry door and could not be turned in any other direction, the toilet seat was missing a support and moved, it was also chipped in three places. The shower was tiny, again due to the age of the hotel and the room available to actually position a shower, but the seals kept falling off and the floor got completely soaked every time we used it. Also a fair amount of the woodwork was scratched, chipped and generally looked beaten, an easy fix. The in-room safe also did not work as orange lights just flashed whenever you tried to set it, and the printed instructions were inaccurate. The front desk team was pretty friendly and helpful and the maid was pleasant.
