The Tops A fine ridge track leading down between Greasbrough and Rawmarsh towards Rotherham. It is part of the Rotherham Round Walk.
Earl Fitzwilliam's Canal. Earl Fitzwilliam's Canal, or the Fitzwilliam Canal as it is sometimes called is a half mile long spur off the Rotherham Cut. Navigable access to the Rotherham Cut is now blocked by an embankment supporting the A633, although a pipe still connects the two waterways.

Staff were friendly and helpful, dinner delicious, and gluten free porridge available at breakfast. Our room was spacious and clean although dated. The bathroom was exceptionally cold sadly. Otherwise a pleasant stay in lovely grounds and a beautiful historic building.
