“Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend St.Leonards Guest House. Lovely room, quirky and very well presented, exceptionally clean and a comfortable bed. Great having the fridge in the room with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Beautiful selection for breakfast. The host Keith was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond during our stay. We would stay here again without hesitation.”

“DO NOT BOOK This not fit to be classed as a B&B. Place was disgusting smell as you walked into the place was vile. Smell of urine, Not clean at all. The owner should be ashamed to con people to book here and take money. I could not even sleep in place. Arrived and immediately left. ”

“Arrived to a luke warm welcome. The bedroom window was wide open, to air the room, which was damp. The reception area stank of cigarettes smoke. The carpets are so grubby, some steps the carpet is held together with gaffer tape. When we said we wouldn’t be staying because it wasn’t suitable and damp and in general disrepair. We weren’t offered any incentive to stay or give an option for a better room. This hotel would have been amazing in the 1980’s but has indeed lost all its charm. ”

“Our room was clean and had tea/ coffee making facilities. Toiletries were also provided. The view out our window was of the castle. Good location. Hotel requires some updating and there are a few stairs to the rooms. ”
