This is a nice, clean, older hotel that we stayed at during our daughters graduation at Eastern Oregon University. It has a hot tub and pool and is conveniently located close to the freeway. The stay included a continental breakfast but there wasn't a lot of selection.

A fine place to stay

It was a good time. We were there 2 nights for EOU graduation. My son loved the pool. It was heated. The breakfast worked fine for us although it’s a very small space so it was crowded in the dining area.

Americas Best Value Sandman Inn exceeded my expectation. It was clean, quiet, had been upgraded (perhaps in the past year). It is located near a Best Western. The room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. Check in person was lovely- even though she was also working in the laundry area. The reason for less than a 5 rating include: Towels are thin; the light in the bathroom could be improved- there is a central overhead light in the bathroom, but the tub/shower area is a bit dark. Shower pressure is good. The plumbing is counterintuitive. The faucet has a central dial. Turning the dial to the full counterclockwise position provides the coldest water, while turning it clockwise back towards the starting position makes the water hotter and then turns the water off. Breakfast was basic but with several options, the toaster provided the warm option for solids. I would stay here again.

Nice older hotel, good for traveling. First room we got did not have heat but they quickly gave us another room. The beds were comfortable. Hotel old but clean. The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean and open 24 hours. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was simple but decent.

I did not like the breakfast. No protiens. I liked the old warm up breakfasts and they are gone. All carbs. I cannot eat or drink things with lactose. Bring those heat up breakfast back.

Decent stay. Good staff.

Front desk worker was very kind and professional. Also kept breakfast stocked when a big soccer group was eating. Hotel was very quiet despite the teens. Hotel is close to everything you need. Beds were not very comfortable and kept sliding off of the bed frames a bit. Also the bed skirts are way too big for the beds and a slipping hazard when you stop out of bed. Overall it was a good stay.
