It wasn’t very clean. Bathtub had rust around the drain. In the bedroom there was a dead spider smashed on the wall that no one had cleaned up.

She could not check me in, because she could not figure out the computer system. The placed had a strong chemical smell as soon as I walked in. I was on the second floor and there was no elevator so I had to lug my bags up the stairs.

Fine for one night stay but expensive for what it is. La Grande in general is expensive for some reason but this hotel has aged and the rooms have an old smoking room odor. Breakfast is modest but fine. Amenities modest but okay.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and lack of compassion I experienced. I had booked a room, but unfortunately, my brother unexpectedly passed away the day before my reservation. Obviously, this was completely beyond my control, and I contacted the hotel to explain the situation and request a refund. I was asked to provide a copy of my brother’s death certificate, which I did. Even after providing the documentation they requested, the hotel still refused to refund my money. During such a devastating and unexpected loss, the last thing a grieving family should have to deal with is this kind of treatment. I understand hotels have cancellation policies, but there should be some level of compassion and flexibility when someone provides proof of a death in their immediate family. I am incredibly disappointed with how this situation was handled.

Comfy beds. Breakfast was okay. Definitely better than a continental Breakfast. Coffee sucked. There are a lot of coffee joints around. What I love the most is the swimming pool and hot tub are open 24/7! Clean as well! We stay here when we visit our son in LaGrande.

Drains for the sink, drained very slowly. Mold was found in and around tube and shower area. Walls had stains on them. Room temperature reading was not given and it took awhile to make adjustments for desired temperature requirements.

Incredibly disappointed and will never support this business. We USED to live in the same county but moved to another state. We were visiting and booked this motel. Showed up only to be told that they would not let us stay because we were considered “local” because we had not changed the addresses on our license yet. Absurd. No amount of explaining or offer to show proof of no longer living in county was acceptable to them despite having accepted our reservation and taken the money. Expedia was little help. And had to spend over an hour on the phone trying to get a refund but was told it was the hotel choice. We finally got a refund days later. We went next door to a hotel that was happy to have us. What a joke. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! If you are local, do not let your friends or family stay when they are visiting.

For an older hotel it was clean and staff were very friendly. Location is good; close to lots of food options and not far to historic downtown. Only issue was the bathroom was small and tub drained very slow so the water pooled in tub during shower.
