Whispering Vines: rural home set in a vineyard

Whispering Vines is the epitome of a vacation home in the Finger Lakes.  Set in a vineyard, just a stones throw from a winery with a view of Keuka Lake, this home will give you all the vibes that the rural Finger Lakes boasts of.  Whispering Vines seems a fitting name for the experience you'll have in this home...the breezes whisper through the surrounding vineyards.

Whispering Vines was completely renovated in 2023 and has gorgeous custom finishings throughout.  The spacious custom Kitchen has beautiful granite, a huge Kitchen Island, views out over the vineyards and a slice of lake beyond, and a great little coffee nook area.  The Kitchen and Dining room are an open space, a few steps up from the main entry door and the Living Room.  There are patio doors from the Dining area out onto the gracious deck which has a large outdoor dining table as well as a smaller bar set for enjoying your morning coffee.  The sunlight from the patio doors spills into the Kitchen making it a cheerful and lightfilled room.

Just steps down from the Kitchen and Dining area (this part of the house resembles a split level), and just inside the front door, is a large open Living Room area.  The Living room has plenty of comfortable seating, a gas burning fireplace, and built in benches.  There is a small desk nook in the Living Room if you did need to bring work with you.

Up on the same level as the Kitchen and Dining area, there are two bedrooms and a full bath.  Each bedroom has a Queen bed and the full bath has a lovely quartz walk-in shower.

On the lower level, just steps down from the Living Room, there are 2 additional bedrooms both with Queen beds as well.  There is another full bath on this level, again with a beautiful quartz walk-in shower.  The laundry is on this level and there is a great Kitchenette area with a coffee pot, sink, and beverage fridge where guests who sleep on the lower level can get their morning cup of coffee or keep additional beverages.

Outside in the yard there is a firepit with Adirondack chairs overlooking the vineyard.  The house has a large wrap-around deck, as well as the patio area, with plenty of options for seating and enjoying the outdoors.  There is a large gas grill on the back patio, just off the Kitchen and the deck.  The yard around the house meets the vineyards on 3 sides and you'll love seeing the different seasons reflected in the growth of the vineyards as well as the wildlife that lives in the rural countryside.  Be sure to visit the Vineyard View winery just a short walk up the hill from the house!  Keuka State Park is just 5 minutes away and you can dock a boat at the park, swim in the swim area, or picnic along the lake.

Whispering Vines is just a short 5 minute drive from the Village of Penn Yan as well and you can catch our local eateries and coffee shops there.  There are multiple other wineries and breweries/distilleries just minutes from the house as well.  If you're looking for a central location to enjoy the Finger Lakes while still feeling tucked away, you'll love the peaceful surroundings at Whispering Vines.
