BUYER BEWARE
- At check-in we were asked to pay a €20 "city tax" that could only be collected in cash.
- The room heat thermostat has a clear plastic security box that you usually find in a public space. We could not increase or decrease the desired temperature setting. We spoke with the manager (with some difficulty due to her selective limited English) and were finally able to get her to increase the temperature to remove the damp coldness from the apartment. After we returned to the apartment in the evening the temperature was back down to 1.5°C lower than where it initially started.
BOTH MY WIFE AND I ENDED UP GETTING COLDS AND HEAVY CHEST CONGESTION. We believe it was due to the low apartment temperature and damp night air inside the apartment.
- Breakfast is included. It was fresh but very limited if you are someone who likes to start the day with a hearty meal.
- Dinner dining requires a reservation and seating is extremely limited. The meal portions are very small and the menu somewhat limited.
- The property is advertised as a 10-15 minute walk to town. But, the only two paths are both very steep. One is paved with river stones embedded in concrete and the other is little more than a dirt (or mud) trail. Walking down is challenging enough but walking up is a serious climbing challenge to the majority of people. Both paths are dangerous when wet.
- There is no hotel shuttle.
- The staff was friendly and always responsive to taxi reservation requests.
