Relaxing retreat in the country
A peaceful country retreat nestled alongside a beautiful forested area, this unique space was once a barn and has since been thoughtfully converted into the welcoming getaway it is today. A small screened-in patio off the back is the perfect place to enjoy quiet mornings surrounded by nature.
Scenic hiking trails are located just a 2-minute walk away, and the world-famous Stratford Festival is only a 15-minute drive, making this an ideal escape from city life while still being close to local attractions.
The Country Nook is located right beside our home, yet offers a great deal of privacy. We live on the property and are always happy to help—please don’t hesitate to knock or send us a message if you have any questions or need anything during your stay.
Please note that there is no cellular service at the property. However, Wi-Fi calling allows your cellphone to function normally over Wi-Fi. With your opening message, we’ll send clear instructions on how to set this up prior to arrival.
We also have two large, friendly dogs who roam our property and are contained using an Invisible Fence system. They are not permitted inside the retreat unit. If you’d like to meet them, just let us know.
For security purposes, exterior cameras are in place facing the driveway and the Nook entrance. These cameras do not look into the unit and are used solely to monitor the property.

Loved this adorable little spot for our winter weekend getaway. We arrived in the middle of an evening snow storm and the hosts had already plowed the pathways, so we had no problem getting in. It was freezing outside so we stayed bundled in the house all weekend - which felt warm, clean, comfortable and private. The hosts were wonderful and communicative and the dogs are very sweet and respectful. Had a lovely time!

This place is such a gem of a retreat. It is perfect for a little getaway and I couldn't ask for more. Kevin and Alison are such great hosts, and are very accommodating. Their two dogs are adorable and such fun - the cherry on top of the experience!

Great hideaway - close to Stratford
Very cool place.... We loved the screened in porch. All the comforts we needed. Very much in the country, but only 15 mins drive from all the stuff you might want in a small city like Stratford. If you want to meet them, the hosts' dogs WANT TO PLAY with you and they're adorable.

Adorable cabin with amenities!
The Cozy Nook was perfectly cozy and stuffed with little extras that made my families stay amazing. Adorable modern farmhouse interior with coffee and creamer in the fridge! Games, streaming, books, fire place outside and in! Everything was so thought out and clean. Wonderful stay, and with so much to do in the area, I highly recommend!!!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! Everything was thoughtfully prepared and truly exceeded our expectations. From hygiene essentials like cotton buds and floss, to a fully equipped kitchen stocked with basics like oil, salt, and pepper—every detail was considered. The cabin itself is immaculate and instantly felt like a home away from home.
Entertainment options were fantastic, with a great selection of board games and even a console to enjoy during downtime. The picnic table outside was a lovely touch—perfect for a BBQ or simply enjoying a meal surrounded by nature.
One of the highlights was meeting one of their sweet and playful dogs, who instantly became a favorite companion for our child. Speaking of which, our little one had the time of their life here, and so did we.
The location is great too—peaceful and cozy, yet just a short drive to Stratford if you're in the mood for exploring or being around people.
We would absolutely love to return. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and memorable space!

Winter getaway

Lovely Winter Getaway
We had a relaxing time here and loved how thoughtful the hosts were in this renovated barn. It's beautiful! We were lucky to have tons of snow around and the hosts offered to lend us snow shoes. This was a magical experience! We got a little lost finding the trail but were rescued swiftly by our host. Kitchen is well stocked for anything.
