Thanksgiving gathering

My husband, myself, 3 of my adult kids and 5 grandchildren under 7 stayed very comfortably. So many nice rooms. Although very updated had a very nostalgic feel. All of the living spaces were extra large and plenty of seating. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the yard was humongous. We were fortunate to get snow while we were there and the kids had never seen snow since we’re from Georgia. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you so much, Wayne.

Annual reunion

House was large and comfortable with space for everyone. Enjoyed dinners with our group around the dining table. Kitchen is older but works. Played a charades-type game in the living room one evening. Peterborough wonderful for eats, walking and shopping.

Beautiful Home!

This home was beautiful and offered so many areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. We enjoyed apple picking and hiking while in the area. Wayne was a wonderful host, and we would definitely rent again.

The house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable! A perfect fit for our family group (5 adults and 3 kids), with room left over. Very well-equipped. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Place to Stay in Peterborough!!

We rented this house for a long weekend stay with family. It is a great place for a small family gathering. Plenty of room for the 12 of us. Wayne was easy to work with and answered all questions. The house met our expectations and the description was accurate. If the occasion arises for us to stay in the area again, we would not hesitate to rent it again.

Comfortable, Convenient, and very easy experience

My family gathers every year in a National Park and uses VRBO. This year we gathered for a family wedding. The host was excellent, the place was beautiful, and our stay was lovely. It was one of the best places we have ever gathered as a family.

Family visit

We love the lovely large house and its great location right in the town of Peterborough, but hidden by woods and in farmland. Wayne Dodds is a wonderful host. It's been the perfect place for family get-togethers in both winter and summer..

Quiet and relaxing

Great location for our destination wedding nearby. Spacious home with a nice sunroom. Loved how you felt away from it all yet were very close to groceries, shops and restaurants.

College graduation getaway

The perfect property for our family to gather and celebrate our daughter's graduation from Keene State College. Plenty of space for eleven of us and our dog loved seeng all the animals next door! It is also close to restaurants and stores and the college was only 25 minutes away. Wayne was the ultimate host!

Just right for a large family

We were looking for a somewhat rural place for lots of family members could have their own quarters. This place fulfilled it all. Close to everything and yet it felt remote. Easy place to relax. Just what we wanted.

We had a delightful four-night Thanksgiving stay at this lovely, spacious home. There was plenty of room for cooking and eating as well as for finding a nook for a quiet conversation. The grounds are wide open, and my grandson loved going around the circular driveway on his scooter!

Christmas in New Hampshire

The Peterborough house is perfect for our family holiday. Because our grandchildren are in college or still in High School, the only time everyone is free to be together is Christmas week and we've rented the house three years running. It's a nicely furnished, comfortable, well-maintained house, with an excellent kitchen and views from its glassed-in porch. It sits amid trees, next to a farm (with ponies and other animals) and is also a stone's throw from the Peterborough Shaw's and from restaurants. We have been so lucky to have found the house. Wayne is a fine host and a very helpful one. The driveway is plowed (this year there was quite a bit of snow) and sand is available at the front door if needed. We'll be back!

Peaceful retreat

This was the perfect location for our family to experience a peaceful retreat! Scenic location with mountain view. Lots of room to gather around the dining table or lounge on the porch. Sleeping quarters and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable. Again plenty of room. Lots of fun and family memories were made. We went to Peterborough Basket factory and picked up a local handmade basket. Thank you for hosting us!!

Great house!

Colonial Charms and Challenges

We had a group of 8 who stayed at this home for a week while we attended a convention and series of meetings. The home layout was as described in the listing and functioned well for a group of our size, with adequate beds, bathrooms and privacy for everyone. Others have made comments about the musty odor in the sunroom. This was quite noticeable and a significant inconvenience for us. Another consideration is that with the age of the home the plumbing and electrical systems are a bit inconvenient and don't function as well as we are used to in the modern day. Internet service worked well for our needs. The home is quaint and the property is very private. The outside deck was lovely during the sunny and warm morning hours! The owner was very courteous and communicative. He quickly and generously responded to our questions. If the odor in the sunroom were remedied and a few plumbing quirks were resolved we would stay here again.
