Very clean and comfortable, beautiful view of Lake Michigan, warm fireplace with plenty of wood and kindling. It was the perfect cozy spot to stay in the winter. I would love to go back in the summer.

What a lovely few days in Charlevoix! Our stay in the Mushroom Half House was a privilege. The fireplace and location next to Lake Michigan blessed us deeply.

We stayed for two nights and had an amazing, relaxing time in the Half House. Bill communicated timely and professionally. The house is stocked nicely, and the bed is very comfortable. There’s also plenty of historical mushroom house books to read, and watching the fireplace with real wood is an amazing way to spend a cold, wintry day. I will be rebooking in the future.

The view from the front window is amazing. Our host Bill was very helpful, available and accommodating especially when we needed to book an extra night due to weather and road conditions. It was a lovely and unique place to stay and would definitely consider doing it again at a warmer time of year.

Bill was very welcoming and had the place all ready to go. We ran into some internet issues near the end, but Bill was quick to respond and went above and beyond for us. The place was so cute and close to town, would love to visit again!

The house is absolutely amazing and exactly what we wanted but above our expectations. The inside felt very homey, it was easy to settle. I should note it’s part of a historic architectural house, so people did take pictures of the house and approach it and the curtains covered us but were sheer. We explored Charlevoix and surrounding spots and had a wonderful time.

This was our second time to stay at Hobbit House. This home is absolutely delightful and charming. Bill is great to assist in anything that is needed. The house is so well-stocked with anything you might need. Nothing beats the view of Lake Michigan right out the front window or sitting in the chairs outside. A stay in Hobbit House is truly magical.

What a wonderful home and experience. Your home was cozy, clean, comfortable and oh so interesting! I was so glad to have such great reading materials on the history of the home available since we were stopped frequently by people curious about the property - how fun to be able to answer some of their questions and recommend a stay in person. The location was perfect in that it was a short walk to the beach, and a short walk to town. There was a nice walking trail across the street and beautiful neighborhood to walk through as well. The home was equipped with everything we needed. I can't recommend this property enough and will definitely be back some day!

No privacy whatsoever. Unfortunately for us there was a parade of tour bases and local tour charted that left us with absolutely no privacy during our satay.

Will, we really enjoyed our two nights at the hobbit house! It’s a special experience and our walks around the neighborhood were equally enjoyable. It’s very fun to be on the inside of the mushroom house world as tourist wander about the neighborhood!

The house was just charming. Location was great. Can see the lake & sunsets from the front window. Fireplace was cozy on the cool nights. Within walking distance to everything - the lake, shops, and restaurants. Just a fun place to stay in a beautiful area. Host was prompt in response to any questions.
