Excellent location within walking distance to Independence Hall, downtown, and many restaurants. The bedding, bathroom and facilities were top notch. Although you could hear transit and road noise from our room during the day, it never bothered my sleep. Would recommend and plan to return.

Property is a historic building that is in the center of the city making access to sightseeing locations, public transportation and food very easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very large and clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice bonus.

Philly restored boutique stay

Historical boutique hotel in the heart of Philly. Attentive staff and a continental breakfast beyond expectations. The house has an old library feel with multiple fireplaces in seating areas.

I love this property. The staff makes you feel like family. The rooms and quaint and cozy. Do not skip the fresh cookies and baked goodies. I have stayed a few times and it is always my first choice when heading down to Philly.

My teen daughter and I stayed here for one night while traveling around PA, NJ and NY. This place is so cute. When we first got here we were greeted and given a quick tour including some history about the house and how it came to be a hotel. The room was very well appointed with a full, updated bathroom. A “continental breakfast” was included which consisted of coffee, juice and fresh fruit, cereal, homemade muffins and coffee cake. The hotel is with 5 minutes walking distance to Independence Hall, and a 20 minute walk to Reading Terminal. Lots of great places to eat around within walking distance. While the hotel offered a discount for overnight parking at a garage across the street, it was still over $32 for one night. All in all I would highly recommend this cute little place as an alternative to the larger (and more expensive) hotels.

Beautiful historic Hotel

My husband and I stayed there on Christmas night because we were visiting family and needed to stay in the city to see friends the next day. The place is beautiful. The hotel staff was wonderful even taking the time to tell us the history of the hotel. We cannot wait to go back as we have a lot of family and friends that still live in Philly.
