「Overall, we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. The views are breathtaking, the grounds and pool are beautiful, the breakfast buffet and restaurant were excellent, and the air conditioning was a huge relief during the heatwave. While the property isn't modern, it has a lot of charm. Our biggest challenge was transportation. Although the hotel is described as being within walking distance of Menaggio, that's only realistic with very light luggage. Taxis were difficult to find during our stay, and...

「We booked a room for 2, but an extra twin bed was already there, so we are given a room for 3. The room is classic, clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning (but only Reception can adjust the temperature ) The wooden floor squeaks when stepped on . During our stay the elevator was out of order for a few hours, but quickly fixed. Breakfast is decent. Overall very one here is very nice .」

「We chose to spend a night here for our honeymoon. The hotel provides a very convenient—and free—shuttle service, which is incredibly thoughtful given that Varenna is a town nestled on a hillside. They can pick you up and drop off anytime from either the train station or the ferry pier ! The location is also perfect—right across from the church and just a short walk to the romantic lakeside path.
