10/10 Excellent

"We loved our three day stay! It was a 10min walk to a fabulous bakery and 15min walk to the village. We were treated to a weekend festival with food and music each of the three nights we were there. It was an easy drive from the airport and to all locations of interest on the island. We would recommend this place to couples or families travelling to Pico who want a quiet and relaxing vacation."

"Well located hotel across from ferry terminal and marina. Very close to cafes and shops. Pool and lounging patio was wonderful to use on a warm day. There is a bar adjoining the pool with a very hardworking bartender who somehow managed to efficiently serve a large crowd all by himself. Breakfast buffet was nice with several high quality options including fresh pancakes, hot dishes, and lots of pastries and desserts. The desk staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests. We asked to checkout slightly later than usual time (11 am) and received an abrupt response (“no way!”). They did allow us to store our luggage in an unlocked closet but we had to retrieve our bags ourselves as the staff was unable (or unwilling) to serve us. I would stay there again but with low expectations of the service."

"Great hotel and the room had a great view. The hotel and room were very clean. The pool facilities were nice and well kept. The hotel staff were very helpful at finding us a cab when our arranged cab didn't show up and we were struggling to find anyone due to the holiday on the island. Note that the hotel is on the south side of Madalena and it was about a 20 minute walk to the harbor/main area of town."

"This house was amazing. The views, outdoor landscaping, and hammocks were wonderful. Each room was cute, bright, and comfortable. The beds were VERY comfortable and everyone slept well. We had a group of 9, including grandparents and 4 kids. Everyone wanted to stay longer! Nico, the host, was accommodating of our early arrival time. He was incredibly helpful with tips about what to see and where to eat. A lovely, friendly person all around."
