Location was good. I never saw any staff so can't comment on that, kitchen facilities seemed good and communal areas were nice room was pretty basic but clean. Shared coed toilets and showers were pretty unpleasant, broken toilet seats etc. I've given a pretty low rating because i did not feel safe here as a solo female. It appears to be used as homeless accommodation and there are a few men staying there long term- there was a man sitting outside my room all the time. I was scared to leave my room to use the coed bathroom at night and actually ended up having nightmares about it. Don't recommend to solo female travellers it's a bit too scary. There is no one ever at reception.

The family room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Only 3 mins from ferry terminal. Appreciated the free self-serve breakfast, and fully equipped communal kitchen.

A pleasant and affordable place in Picton. Ideal if you’re staying for half a week or so. There was free breakfast foods available and a nice outdoor balcony and an indoor area with a TV. Rooms are very tidy. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were pleasant. Staff are attentive and friendly. I’d definitely stay here again.

The most comfortable beds and beddings. So clean and fresh- nice and new. Smelt nice. One suggestion is to have a fan in the room as there was no air flow and I was hot. Floors creeked above me and walls were thin so I could hear people. This kept me up and woke me up. Overall the place was nice.

We had turn up at lodge to find keys waiting our arrival with note for owner, room was found to be very clean as was amenities when walk around. However we DID not stay due to the bathroom and shower configuration. I did not remember seeing stated toilets are shower are unisex (mixed) both in the same area this made me feel uncomfortable especially as I am prone to using toilets in the middle of the night no issues sharing with ladies but with strange men yes. I am sorry if this sounds raciest in anyway but my concern was more of putting myself in a venerable situation.

Fresh choice is about a 6min walk and activities are also in walking proximity. Family friendly staff was really accommodating. I have booked for my return in a few weeks. Owner is hospitable and a big heart Thank you Nicci Fitzgerald for allowing me to use your gas stove at your other backpackers place much appreciated 😍
I came back from my outdoor activity and walked into the fire blaring with warmth. Just what I needed being out on the water for 6hours. Thanks Luke & Chris
