The staff was very helpful and friendly when we arrived, and our room was comfortable. My only complaint is that the curtain was very thin, meaning that the room was very bright from the outside lights all night through to the early morning. Besides that, the hotel was excellent and there was even a bottle of complementary water.

Convenient location near the highway, easy access to Salzburg, Hallstatt, Berchtesgaden, and the mountain villages. Good local restaurants in Piding at a walking distance. Very good breakfast. Only con: parking charges - why parking cannot be free for guests is a mystery.

Property and rooms were fabulous. Loved the farmyard themed rooms. Very quirky. Staff were excellent. We stayed as a one night stopover on way home from a tour of Europe, but its just over border from Austria so Salzburg is extremely near.

Clean and usable...

No food available in the evening. BK next door. Bar closed at 10pm. But, staff were lovely and it was very clean and comfortable. No public transport (but it is a little town in the Alps)

The hotel has a great location. I don't understand why it's an extra 5 Euro per day for parking. There was no fridge or phone in the room. So if you need anything at night or want to keep drinks cool you can't. One really odd thing, our bed was made almost every day but our pillows were never touched all week we were there. The rooms are extremely small and no closets. You can't really open your suitcase in the room because there is not enough room to open it. I wouldn't stay here again. Sorry. But the staff is super nice

Could be better

Overall ok stay as a hub for visit to Salzburg or the alps surrounding the area. On the positive side the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. On the down side the central air did not work in the room, and it became very warm and stuffy. As we stayed in July and the weather was really warm, the room did not provide us with good sleep. We tried opening the windows, only to find guests sitting right underneath and drinking, which normally isnt a problem, but they stayed late and were quite loud. No kettle for coffee or tea, no minibar, they charge for parking and the breakfast for 19.90 euros per person is not worth it. I would recommend the hotel management to revisit either the price or the selection.

The receptionist was pouring beers and shots for patrons at the bar when we arrived. We werent acknowledged for 5 minutes before finally being able to check in, when we were handed a tablet and had to check ourselves in. We finally got to our room to discover the wifi doesn't reach the third floor and it was 77°F with no air flow. After approximately 30 min. the "air conditioning" still hasn't kicked on and the temperature continued to rise. We went down to reception and were about to check out and get a refund, but then was offered 2 regular rooms (we originally booked a triple room) where we were assured the A/C would work. It didn't. The temperature hovered around 77° the whole night with no air flow. We should have left. Definitely not worth the inflated cost. On a positive note, it has easy access to the noisy highway.
