Pilling Holidays

Nice apartment clean and homely,was staying for a week but decided to stay an extra week,very nice.

Very clean but a little rough around the edges. Needs some TLC. Very comfy bed. Easy Road access and lots of parking. Shower was at best like warm but mainly cold. A bracing experience. Good value budget hotel. I will definitely use it again though.

PROS - The hotel is beautiful and a lot of money has obviously been spent on it. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful throughout. We had lunch there which was excellent and well presented. The room we had was beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. CONS - The picture on the advert is not the main entrance. The room (Bridal Suite) was not as clean as I would have liked. The blinds were very dusty and the beautiful large dressing mirror needed cleaning. The hanging rail in the room needs strapping to the wall. Heavy coats made it quite unstable. The coffee machine had no instructions which was a little frustrating. A kettle would have been a welcome addition. The wet room still had confetti on the floor from the previous occupier and there were very little surface areas to put things down, especially in the wet room, which had no towel hanging rail and no good sized surface to put toiletries etc. The wet room was FREEZING - we had to put a bath towel on the floor to stand on it and the container on the small mirror shelf was dirty inside. Breakfast was ok and we were offered a cooked breakfast if we desired one, but there was only one croissant in the choice of pastries for two of us and when I enquired we were told there were no more because other residents had been there before us. OVERALL - I would stay there again. It is a lovely place and just minor things that I hope are taken on board will make it a good 4/5 star accommodation.

The room was a little dated, lovely corner bath but the jets weren’t working on it, no shower in the room which would have been handy. Lovely 4 poster bed, but the mattress was way too soft. Restaurant was lovely and the quality of the food was great. We used the spa and the gym the following day, the spa was very modern, great facilities and very clean.
