「Very clean. Very quiet. The cabin was as described. This place is very secluded. You have to travel 5-10 minutes on gravel roads to get there. Or 30 minutes if your gps takes you in the wrong direction ( happened twice to us!). Everything about the place itself was great.」

「Dog friendly, fenced yard. Nature lovers paradise. Darling property a stone’s throw from downtown Blacksburg and VT. No a/c meant windows open and the neighborhood noise was significant. Made it a bit hard to sleep. No TV. Parrots/fish on property / parrots are also loud. Owner warned us and offered to take them but I wasn’t clear about the situation, so I didn’t ask them to take them. My fault. 3 bedroom with interesting decor. 」

「Amazing location, with walking access to the river. The house is close enough to campus that you can easily get an uber to a game. This place was pet-friendly and had the cutest kitchen. All around great experience. 」

「Beautiful, well-appointed new construction close enough to VT campus for events and visiting students, but just far enough away for views and privacy. Great outdoor spaces on front and back porches, complete with a grill. Thoughtful touches everywhere from snacks and coffee to extra blankets and plush towels to razors and toothpaste, in case you forgot. And fascinating site history too. Would definitely stay again! Close to Rising Silo Brewery, Heritage Park and Gateway Trails.」

「Staying at the Tranquil Retreat has been so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Plenty of space for 3 adults and we really appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the wonderfully comfortable beds. Great, well stocked kitchen, very easy to prepare a meal and nice to have a washer and dryer. This is our second stay here to visit our daughter, and we will certainly be back.」

「I visited in the fall with some college friends for a game weekend, and had an incredible stay! The house is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to campus and downtown. The host was extremely helpful and communicative. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Blacksburg for a weekend!」

「Tyler's weekend "wee" treat was an adorable little tiny house that was the perfect stay for a few nights. The tiny house looked exactly like the photos, and was on a very quiet dead-end road. It was a beautiful drive to get here! Since I was in the area for work, a basic kitchen and solid Wi-Fi were must-haves, and the tiny house did not disappoint. I was by myself, but you could comfortably fit two people. I'll be looking forward to staying here again the next time I'm in town! 」

「Cabin was beautiful with lots of space and views. Fully stocked with essentials including a Brita filter that was a blessing to hydrate with and refill our water bottles. Host was responsive and thoughtful, even provided a Curated list of things to do in the area. Will definitely come back. 」

「Beautiful spot! Serene, peaceful and calming.The owners/host (Jake) were so accommodating and friendly. The house was perfect for our needs. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable for everyone, great amenities for in house cooking, and to our surprise river tubing on site!!! Our grandson is a new corps cadet at VT …this was the perfect place to re-set for all of us.Plan to return in October.Kudos to the Moody family for getting this home and their camp site ready in quick order after Hurricane Helene....
