Overall a great weekend. However, there were some maintenance issues. For example, in the half bath on the main floor, one of the globe lights is broken. The raw internals are exposed and can lead to shock if someone touches it.
Next, it seems dish cleaning is solely up to the prior inhabitant. The glasses, mugs, and cutlery didn’t look clean. We were going to use the dishwasher for this task, but the dishwasher was *really* dirty. The circular removable filter in the dishwasher was completely clogged, so I removed it and the surrounding mesh filter and cleaned it. Once that was done, we felt OK with using the dishwasher knowing it would rinse and clean properly.
The last issue, the small heater in the lookout room is nice, but after a while the plug gets very hot as does the outlet itself. Knowing that, we limited our use of it.
Aside from these things - which are simple to repair; a new lightbulb and a running a dishwasher cleaning pack every so often, the house is great.
Beautiful location, functional layout, plenty of high res TVs, a TON of fun games, whole house WiFi, and a stunning view of the stars make this a memorable location. I look forward to staying here again.
