70th Birthday Weekend

The property was everything we expected and more. The home is first class. The views are stunning. I would highly recommend for a family gathering. Mary is an attentive, excellent host.

Family reunion

Could not have gone much better. The place is lovely. Plenty of space indoor and out for our whole group to gather but also nice little nooks for smaller conversations. Whole family had a great time. Super clean, chef kitchen, huge yard for frisbee and bocce.

Perfect for a family weekend!

Big spacious house with large indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. Nice big tables for board games and great kitchen layout for cooking together as a family. Beautiful surroundings, we even saw a double rainbow. The small bedroom in the silo is a hidden gem.

Perfect, Beautiful!

Every detail of this property is outstanding. From the sublime setting to the details, both large and small, of this house. Our host was communicative in all ways one might expect or hope for. Our family gathered together here from far points for a large wedding. So much fun to wander the fields, loll in the Kitchen area, primp ourselves up for the festivities, sleep in luxurious comfort. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

Gorgeous house, perfect weekend!

My bridal party and I rented two of Mary's properties for the weekend of our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier. The house was absolutely gorgeous, and the setting was perfect. The views were unbeatable. The sunny little room at the top of the silo isn't in any of the photos on the listing, but was the best room in the house. Mary graciously allowed my bridesmaids and I to get our hair and makeup done onsite and to have our photographer come by to document the morning, too. We really couldn't have had a better experience!

This is a beautiful home and the setting is almost like Tuscany! I recommend this rental for a family reunion or gathering. It is truly a gem!

Stunning views

This property is just beautiful inside and out. The home is so cozy and clean with amazing light and room for all, and the views will knock your socks off. We were a group of a few young families and our kids loved the space to run freely and visit with the cows, and the parents loved the chance to enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch in the morning and a glass on wine on the lawn in the evening while taking in those awesome views. Mary was a great and responsive host and we alll hope to be back soon!

Great update New York getaway

Beautiful house surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. A wonderful and peaceful retreat from the city. Lots of things to do. Hiking, bicycling in Kingston on the old rail line, visiting the many towns along the Hudson River. Wine tasting etc...

Lovely home for a getaway!

The home was beautiful - well cared for and very clean. It was just a getaway for 48 hours but all went smoothly and the house manager was very communicative. All together great and we would be excited to return when it is better weather and we could be outside more.

Magical Getaway

This house is absolutely stunning and so is the property. It felt spacious and modern, yet cozy and traditional. We really enjoyed the scenery outside and loved the fire pit. We took a nice day trip to Millerton, which was only a 12-minute drive away. We will definitely return and we imagine that this would be an amazing getaway at any time of year. Amazing property!

My wife and I and a group of friends stayed at The Silo this past weekend. The property is absolutely incredible. The photos on the website were beautiful, but in person, the only word I can use is STUNNING. The house is clean, classy, comfortable, and has so much space to accommodate big groups. The rooms are straight out of a magazine. It was completely idyllic and provided a much needed peaceful weekend. Mary was extremely attentive to all of our needs. I cannot recommend this house any more. My friends and I will definitely come back for another amazing weekend away! Thanks Mary!

Pine Plains Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Silo! Mary was extremely accommodating and ready to answer any questions and in fact went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. The house itself is extremely spacious. Everyone enjoyed having their own corner of the large house to escape to, and then coming together to gather in the kitchen or living room. The kitchen is a dream to cook in with a large pantry, Viking gas stove and big double sink. During very hot days the central air was much appreciated! The grounds are extremely private, gorgeous and well kept. The view is absolutely stunning! Our favorite moments were spent grilling local Sunny River steak and vegetables and dining with family on the stone patio, which is bordered by a lovely garden and overlooks rolling pasture and corn fields. The kids enjoyed playing on the huge lawns, and making s'mores at dusk around the large fire pit. If you are seeking a one of a kind house, an exceptional host, and an extraordinary location, you will enjoy your stay at the Silo. Thanks for the unforgettable memories!
