「Stayed 1 night in Nov 2025 at a modern, hotel-style hostel near Monastiraki. Cleanliness was exceptional, with daily service and linens, covers, and bedding that were very clean, crisp, and felt like hotel-level quality. 「Property is very clean, bedding was good quality, and there were no issues with hot water in the shower. Room seemed like it was newly renovated (room #15 on the 4th floor). It was quiet between about midnight and 6am. The elevator makes a very loud grinding bang every time it stops, which you can hear in the room and made it hard to sleep. The elevator also oddly stopped about 1/2 meter from the actual floor and the door opened, which was unsafe, so we took the stairs for the rest of our stay....

「Baloo Hostel is great, fantastic hostel and lovely staff. The beds are fine and facilities good. The area is not nice, with alot of drug use all over, and on the doorstep.」
