Aunt Babbies Cabin | 1 Bed, 1 Bath

Cozy, comfortable and totally authentic. In quiet woods near the entrances to hiking and biking meccas Pisgah National Forest and Dupont Forest, and the town of Brevard, with its several fine restaurants this rustic Civil War era log cabin has been renovated to modern standards with period furnishings. It has a queen bed, a single and a pull-out double sofa bed, one bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. If you are into tranquility with modern conveniences this lovely spot is for you. If you have a larger group, pre-Civil War Sarah’s Cabin, sleeping six to eight,  is just steps away. A new split level deck nestled in the mountain laurels, perfect for cocktail hour and large family suppers, is available for use when Sarah’s Cabin is not occupied.

The Host
As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone.  Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable.  Our cleaning crew is local, paid a living wage, and trained so that you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.
Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation with a link to the essential information you need to enjoy your stay like the door code and the directions.  The digital guidebook has information on the property and also on the area including restaurants, grocery stores, and popular destinations.  Guests can go straight to the property at check-in time.

Quiet cozy remote cabin

A wonderful charming and comfortable cabin nestled deep in the woods just outside of Brevard. Lots to do in the area and definitely will return one day. It was clean and well stocked with the essential needs. It is a little difficult to find, make sure to follow the directions from downtown Brevard and don't rely on Google maps. Loved our short stay. Thank you!

nightmare in the woods

we had no idea the location was so far out of town. the cabin is beautiful, but all we could see was the cobwebs, spiders, no bath soap, the mattress cover had blood stains, had no idea where to put trash, or where the laundry was. we were very much looking forward to staying, but very disappointed and only stayed one night.

My family enjoyed our stay. A few things however I felt could have been better. 1. In the corner of the room was a cricket stick pad full of dead crickets. I understand the need for the stick pad but it could have been cleaned or replaced. 2. the refrigerator door had an extreme amount of black mold on the door seal. We did see the note about “closing” the freezer tight but that mold was pretty gross. 3. The bushes surrounding the porch were so tall that we couldn’t enjoy the view while sitting on the porch. I appreciate the privacy but it would have been nice to see the landscape. 4. Upon check out I began to remove the sheets and noticed the mattress pad was stained. I immediately stopped because I was grossed out. The last thing that would have been nice was a heads up about the road leading to the cabin. Arriving at dusk, we felt unsure if our GPS was leading us in the right direction. Thanks

We had a wonderful stay the cabin was well appointed everything was clean comfortable very rustic with two wonderful fireplaces. There was also a fire pit outside we used. Unfortunately firewood at the cabin that was outside and soaking wet and not well covered I had to go to town to buy firewood other than that what a wonderful place lot of privacy would stay again highly recommend

Sweet Place

This is a sweet cabin. Very private. My only complaint is there is no cable or wifi. I understand the lack of cellular connection, but if the cabin had wifi we could do calls via wifi. If you cant handle being off the grid, then pick another cabin. Otherwise this place is great.
