Location:
This large spacious home is located in Pisgah Forest (off of Kentwood Lane) and 15 minutes to downtown Brevard. It is also an hour from south-west of downtown Asheville, an hour to Asheville Regional airport. 45-minute drive to Greenville, South Carolina.

Description:
Surround yourself with the beauty of nature while you vacation at Sweet Refrain, a mountain getaway nestled in Pisgah Forest. Sweet Refrain will have you falling in love with the Smokey Mountains and have you yearn to stay longer! Many guests return to this upscale newly remodeled home, year after year. This home has several levels. Starting on the first level, it features a living room and laundry room. Upstairs on the second level you will find a spacious and naturally lighted grand room, made of the living room and updated kitchen. The kitchen has all modern appliances with plenty of counter space that will bring out the chef in any person. Additionally, on this level there are two bedrooms accented with designer-colored walls. The best feature of this whole house are large windows on this level, that peer out into the Pisgah Forest. You will find your peace and tranquility just sitting on the couch in the living room looking out those windows. You can also get the same view from the open deck just a step outside the door. The third level features the Master Bedroom loft with a beautiful view of the grand room below.

The Host
As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone. Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable. Our cleaning crew is local, paid a living wage and are trained so that you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.
Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation with a link to the essential information you need to enjoy your stay like the door code and the directions. The digital guide book has information on the property and also on the area including restaurants, grocery stores and popular destinations. Guests can go straight to the property at check-in time.

This was our favorite VRBO ever. It was a perfect spot for our two week vacation. The view was amazing and the porch was our favorite spot. The drive up is a typical mountain road but it is paved. Bathrooms and kitchen are recently updated. We loved the outdoor spaces. The only issue was the master bedroom is in the loft and there is NO door. They provide a curtain over the balcony but that’s it.

High living vacation

House was perfect. It was the cleanest place we have stayed in our favorite mountain town and we have stayed in the area the last three years. The house is exact as it is advertised. We loved the house and iis location ( can not see a neighbor and its very relaxing and only 10 to 15 minutes to Brevard, We hope to rent the same house next year. .

Incredible views from main room; comfortable cabin for family of 5 (three teens). Wonderful location - close enough to town to go back and forth easily, but feels like you’re worlds away in the mountains once at the cabin!

Forest Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful time while staying at the Pisgah Forest cottage. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The view from the main level of the cottage is mesmerizing. The property manager stayed in touch throughout our stay by text message. The only thing we didnt like was there are some windows in the master bedroom that do not have curtains. This would be a nice touch in the event you want to sleep in or just appreciate the privacy they provide even though the property is surrounded by trees. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would definately stay there again.

Serenity & Peace

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time during our Thanksgiving stay at the cabin. We commend the property management team on everything done to make this a comfortable, clean and peaceful place for guests to spend time. The Blue Ridge Overlook scenery was absolutely amazing each day! We walked the neighborhood, visited waterfalls, enjoyed s’mores with our children and had just a wonderful time. Thank you all for such a pleasant experience. We would highly recommend to others!

The upstairs of the home was nice. As someone else had mentioned in a previous review, downstairs is unusable in our opinion. There was a fairly strong musty odor. Unfortunately that is where the TV was located. That was not an issue for us as we do not watch much TV, but it would have been nice to have one somewhere else. Although the property is listed as non-smoking, my husband and I both thought it had a smoking odor, perhaps from some of the furniture downstairs.

Beautiful spot in the mountains! Gorgeous view and very enjoyable space. We loved our time here immensely. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Great view , great location

Wonderful home in a beautiful setting . The mountain views were great and the location was very convenient to many of the things we like to do in the area. Felt very private . The beds were extremely comfortable and there was ample air conditioning. Only issue was the kitchen pans could use some updating ( the teflon was peeling off a few of them ) and some small kitchen tools that you'd expect to see weren't there . That being said it was one of our favorite rentals in the area and we've been visiting for seven years.

Great stay!

Great stay! House was perfect for our family. Spectacular views from the deck and the great room. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The one thing that caught us off guard was there is a separate switch to turn on power to the dishwasher, I don’t know what that’s all about but it did provide us with a laugh after we had loaded the dishwasher only to think it was broken. Then about the same time we got the last of the dishes hand washed we saw the switch labeled ‘dishwasher power’ that is no where near the dishwasher. Other than that it was great, I’d definitely recommend!
