The staff at the Gecko Condos was great!

The staff at the Gecko Condos was great! They are very attentive and ensured the stay was great for our large group! I would not hesitate to rent another Gecko property.

Family Vacation

We had 11 family members and rented all four units. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The roof top pool was a hit and the units are awesome. We would definitely stay again and will refer our friends.

Amazing property

The property was absolutely amazing and everything we hoped for. We rented the entire property for a large family celebration and it worked out perfectly for people of all ages. The units were beautifully appointed, clean, spacious, and all we hoped for. The beach and pool were great for gathering and just hanging around.

I would book here again.

We rented the entire building for a group vacation. The units were extremely clean and up to date. They were nicely furnished with every amenity you could think of. The grounds and common areas were well tended every day. The manager was responsive when we contacted her. All in all, the experience was fabulous. I would book here again.

Gorgeous unit, clean, sun-filled, private, comfortable and nicely appointed.

Concierge communicated well with my kid to set up chocolate and spice farm tours which were 10/10. Only suggestion is that having a single person kayak in addition to the tandem kayaks would have been totally used and appreciated by us solo kayakers looking to explore.

Everything we hoped for

The property was absolutely amazing and everything we hoped for. We rented the entire property for a large family celebration and it worked out perfectly for people of all ages. Great two weeks!

Sunset Gecko is the ideal condo for two couples. Lots of room inside and two outside decks to sit and have a drink or read a book. Our group really enjoyed the roof top pool and views. The condo was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The staff kept the outside tidy and housekeeping did a great job on the inside. The condo is a bit of a walk to get to the sidewalk area and main part of Placencia so we rented a golf cart. This made grocery shopping easier and we were able to explore further north on the peninsula several times. We have already booked our stay for 2024 so that would say it all for our experience at Sunset Gecko!

Amazing Vacation

From the planning to our actual time in Belize, Gecko was amazing. The staff could have not been more friendly, professional, or amazing than they were. Our chef, Omar, was absolutely amazing and cooked us the most amazing food. I did not want to go home to eat crap in the States, lol, his food was so amazing! Our housekeeper, Elda, was so helpful and kept the condo superior the entire time of our stay. I would defiantly use Gecko again for my future Belize trips.

Best Bachelorette Trip

Six girl friends and I spent 5 days in two of the condo units and had the best time!! Everything is new, clean and the roof top pool was absolutely stunning! Would recommend the condos to anyone and would absolutely stay again!

Great!

The Sunset Condo was great! the house was really really nice. I highly recommend renting the golf cart. You are about a 4 minute golf cart ride into town. The accommodations were perfect and the beach and the coolest tree I have seen on a beach were perfect.

Bachelorette Trip

My friends and I celebrated my bachelorette here, and it could not have been better. The condos were spacious, modern, clean, and great views. Everything is walking distance. The staff and locals are all friendly/helpful. I would highly recommend staying here if you ever visit. You are guaranteed to have a great time. I will not be staying anywhere else in Placencia ever again! This property far exceeded our expectations. The one draw back (very minor one), is the location. However, everything else more that makes up for it. Already planning my next trip!!

Beautiful condos!

We stayed a week and booked all four rooms to accommodate our group of 13. We loved the location. The condos provided bikes and kayaks however we also rented a golf car to get around the town as well. The rooftop pool was gorgeous and the pool was always a perfect temperature. Right across the canal there is a bar to enjoy local cocktails., it’s called The Other Side. You just stand at the doc and they pick you up by boat to get you across. So much to do and see in the town as well. Locals are all very nice and welcoming. The condos themselves were very clean and beautiful. The AC’s worked great and kept us cool at night. We also booked the private chefs for a day and the food they cooked was amazing. Also we booked the massages and I can honestly say it was the best massage I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend Sunset Gecko Condos and all the accommodations they offer!

Placencia newbies

This was our first visit to Placencia (5th time to Belize). What a trip! We are a group of 13 between parents, kids and a couple of younger children. The house was great for our needs. Kitchens are spacious and well-stocked so we were able to prepare meals on-site. The rooftop pool and deck was an obvious popular spot. The location was great for our group - at the end of the peninsula so minimal traffic and noise. Heidy did a great job as concierge.
