Umaya is incredible and we loved our stay there. There were a few issues with the original room (WiFi didn’t work and no plugs) and so we were upgraded to a beach front apartment. The views were glorious. The bedrooms are really spacious and beds are comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. The pools were great and really clean. You can borrow kayaks for free. All of the staff were really kind and friendly.

From the time we arrived, the staff was absolutely wonderful. The villa was spacious and the beach front view was beautiful. The location was nice. I do recommend to rent a golf cart, but all this can be arranged to be dropped off for you. They helped with anything that was on our minds.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I requested a 2 hrs early check in due to some circumstances, they handled it with no problem and without a fee! That was unexpected! Highly recommended Resort

My family had a wonderful stay at The resort, it was supposed to rain but we had beautiful weather, great breezes and the pool is very refreshing and nice. The staff was a very accommodating when we got there early and gave us early check in. Thank you so much Umaya!

Beautiful and well kept grounds/beach /facilities. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. One suggestion: all 4 pillows were very high, perhaps have a couple of lower ones????. Overall a wonderful stay.

You can choose an ocean view for more waves and boats passing and amazing custom pizza choices, and pools with a pool-side bar, or you can choose a laguna view for more calm and greater peace and more variety at the restaurant on that side. Well shaded, well lighted, still much privacy and grassy sunshine and flowers. What a beautiful place!

The shuttle drivers were excellent friendly and informative. They waited for us 3 hours past our pick up time due to our flight from Dallas being delayed. It should be known that even though they take you to Placencia village at specific times you can call them to be a taxi as well and save money over the price of a regular taxi. Good food
