De communicatie met de verantwoordelijke van het huisje verliep via whatsapp. Op zo'n uurtje rijden van het huisje hebben we doorgegeven om hoe laat we zouden arriveren. Bij aankomst stond de vriendelijke dame klaar voor ons en na een korte rondleiding in het mooie vakantiehuis kregen we nog een welkomstgeschenk. Van zodra je aan het huis bent, heb je een vakantiegevoel. Het zwembad zag er proper uit, al vond de dame van het huisje dat dit toch beter kon. Ze regelde dan ook onmiddellijk dat dit verholpen zou worden. Iets wat voor ons niet direct nodig was, maar zo'n hoge kwaliteit van service werd wel geapprecieerd. Het uitzicht aan het huisje in prachtig. Zowel overdag als 's nachts kan je uren op je ligstoel blijven liggen om naar de omgeving of de sterrenhemel te kijken. Naast het zwembad, is er ook nog een mooie petanque-baan en een klein stuk gazon, niet veel, maar wel genoeg om de kinderen (3 &6) een beetje op te laten voetballen. Uit ervaring kan ik zeggen dat lopen in deze omgeving een aparte ervaring is. De hoogteverschillen zijn best pittig, maar de uitzichten die je krijgt aan het einde van een beklimming zijn meer dan de moeite waard. Het dorpje zelf is prachtig. De smalle straatjes, gezellige terrasjes (niet in overvloed) en dito restaurantjes zorgen voor een hele leuke vakantiestemming. In de ruime omgeving zijn er meerdere dorpen en steden die een bezoek meer dan waard zijn. Al raad ik je aan om steeds de hoofdbaan te nemen. De 'toeristische route' is mooi, maar de lokale bevolking kent deze banen beter dan de toerist. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je zeer vaak op je rem moet gaan staan om ongevallen te vermijden. De fransman vindt blijkbaar dat het linker rijvak ook voor hem is, als dat er voor zorgt dat hij de bocht wat korter kan afsnijden. Heb je snel last van wagenziekte, dan kan je ook best deze wegen vermijden. Al moet ik over het algemeen wel zeggen dat de plaatselijke bevolking zeer vriendelijk is. Het loont ook zeker de moeite om 's morgens tot bij de verse bakker te wandelen. Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie achter de rug. Ik kan het iedereen aanraden.
