"The villa and pool are immaculately maintained and clean. The rooms are spacious and provide both easy access and privacy. The onsite hosts provide cleaning, laundry, breakfast and dinner. They are available but not intrusive. Samara and it's beaches are welcoming for tourists but still maintain a local vibe. We used the Liberia airport and an Alamo rental car, both seamless experiences. We're already looking to return next year. "

"Absolutely loved our stay here! Staff are beyond kind. Property is beautiful and natural. Rooms are large and contain everything you need. Samara is beautiful and offers a wide range of activities to do off the resort. Such as side by side rides, horseback riding, day excursions, scuba diving, and lots more! We planned a lot of them at the excursion desk upfront with Luis, he was wonderful. At the front desk of the hotel Diego, Donovan and Josue always were there to help with any and everything. Food was always great, Kenneth,Burner,Donny and Alonso were always there to help at the chill and grill and other restaurants. The spa is a must visit, I had a deep tissue massage from Celenie and it was much needed after scuba diving (use Samara dive school and meet 5 minutes down the beach!) the gift shop on site is so convenient, even offering shipping for coffee and chocolate, this was Josie, Eli, Maikol, and Marco to thank for that and also recommending all the best local snacks.10/10 resort "

"Our stay was truly exceptional—it’s hard to capture all the positives in a short review. The home strikes a perfect balance between luxury and comfort, feeling upscale without being overdone. Its thoughtful indoor-outdoor design is ideal for the location, and the views are simply breathtaking. We experienced some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen, all from the comfort of the house.It’s clear that every detail of the home was carefully considered, from the architecture to the furnishings. A special highlight of our stay was the wonderful caretakers, Elieth and Gerardo. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Elieth prepared delicious breakfasts each morning, and together they kept the home spotless. They were also incredibly helpful in arranging activities and offering local insight—we truly enjoyed getting to know them.Communication with the owners was seamless; they were responsive, helpful, and easy to reach throughout our stay.While the home was at the higher end of our budget, it was absolutely worth it. The quality, experience, and level of care make this property an outstanding value. This is easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed."

"The house was absolutely amazing, the views could not be beat. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor patio and the pool. But what made the stay perfect was the Ana. She cooked the best food and was such a nice person. She helped us out with whatever we needed during our stay including any excursions we wanted to go on. It was a real treat to have breakfast and dinner each day. We left already wanting to go back. Would definitely stay again."

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Magna!Our favourite things:VERY spacious for our party of 7.Well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed!Comfortable living room with smart TV.Patio - loved! Big patio, nice big table and chairs for eating outside. Pool - small but enough for us and it got deep enough to feel like swimming! Also Tiki Hut for chatting/beverages.Bedrooms were clean and pleasant with lots of storage space. Linens were cool and comfortable. AC and fans were excellent in bedrooms (with one exception - see below). Beds were firm but comfortable with lots of pillows.Bathrooms were clean with decent shower pressure, and there were THREE bathrooms which was awesome.Laundry- washer/dryer combo worked well for our needs.Location - was great for us - loved the privacy. Beach was about a 10 minute walk and beautiful to visit.Minor things that weren't perfect:Some minor cosmetic things in the house. Holes in the cement walls that hadn't been filled. Picture frames with frayed edges. AC in one bedroom gave us trouble. Water ran down the wall and made puddles on the floor. Paul was awesome about responding to our concerns and had repair technicians come, however the problem remained throughout our stay. At least there was a fan and we were able to run the AC unit sometimes.Could have used a few more towels. I think there was 1 per person for 5 days.Road to house (off highway) was rough. We are used to gravel roads but these were very bumpy. Be aware :)"

"Amazing property tucked into the gorgeous coastline of Costa Rica! Beautiful modern home with all the amenities! Very safe and secluded ….minutes from town and fantastic beaches! This property is first class! Our favorite highlight of the trip was meeting Ivan and Ingrid. They were all about service. They helped us setup day trips in the area…. But most importantly they prepared amazing meals! Huge bonus to this property!"

"Stay was decent , staff was great. But the rooms didn't have hot water again. I stayed there in January and there was no hot water. The same thing happened this time. You have to fix the hot water. Thank you"
