“The staff at this hotel is incredibly slow and unhelpful. We asked about a leaking bathroom pipe, but it wasn’t fixed even after two days. Parking is mandatory and they charge extra, even though the hotel is in a remote location. The breakfast is also mediocre.”

“The hotel was remarkable for its splendid high-ceiling room, and wooden floor well maintained with aromatic oils. Dinner service is quite professional. The town of Bera is known for being the place where Pío Baroja and his famous relativos lived and died. We wished to hear the sounds of the notable organ located at the cathedral, but it was not possible fue to unavailability of Church officials. Other than the organ and the Pío Baroja house that was unavailable as well, there seems to be not……

“La habitación estaba limpia pero en nuestra estancia no nos han hecho ningún día la habitación, el personal era muy atento y amable. La comida podría ser mejor, poca variedad y escasa el buffet del desayuno y el de la cena, además se les acaba y no pueden reponer porque ya se les ha acabado, no hay buena planificación de la comida. Es ideal para familias, tiene psicina, zona de juegos canastas y porterías, frontón, futbolín, billar y animación por la noche. La pega es q todo es pronto en Francia……

“The front staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The room was immaculate and fit our family of 4 nicely. The activities on site were very fun and the pool nice. However, the waitress we had in the restaurant was not very nice for dinner, she acted like she was annoyed that we were even there. Everything besides that, was spectacular!”

“The rooms are sparse, felt more like a dorm rooms, but the pool was very nice and the breakfast was surprisingly good. The place is a bit out of the way from all the action of San Sebastián so you need a taxi to get around.”

“The hotel has been created out of an old school and it’s lovely to see it given a new life. We liked having breakfast in the garden (which used to be the playground) and having a walk down to the fantastic beaches and cafes of Guethary. We had a room on the second floor and it was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also big and very clean- but I prefer a separate shower. The breakfast was lovely quality and very relaxed, we liked the long tables to share with……
