"Great location,walk to town"

"Great find! The Mackenzie Motels was a wonderful find! Dont let the exterior fool you, each room was nicely decorated, warm and cozy. Nice small kitchenette area with coffeemaker, microwave and refrig. Our only watch out is there was no staffed office to check us in but we were given instructions for retrieving a key from a lockbox. Unfortunately we checked in after dark and there was no lighting over the lockbox. This made it feel a bit sketchy but it all worked out. Highly recommend this accommodation!"

"It was a good 1 night rest stop for our drive from Queenstown to Christchurch. The cottage is charming and clean. The beds are comfortable and we had a very good night’s sleep. Love the peace and quiet of the area. It was a rainy day otherwise we would have stayed outside to enjoy the night sky."

"Owner very helpful and gave us a ground floor room as our ports were heavy. Room was big and although we were only there one night and didn’t use the kitchen it appeared to have everything needed and very clean. Right in town so just short walk to cafe."
