“The area was good, very close to the Alamodome, the only suggestion would be to update the beds and couches, they were very uncomfortable and dirty with no good support. Obviously very old. We only stayed one night so it was fine, other than that the place was decent.”

“Very clean place. Our room was below ground and had no windows, we lived this because it was quit, cool, and dark (with lights out. We got really good rest. The location of this was excellent. Literally 1 block from Alamo, and 2 blocks to Riverwalk. I will stay here again.”

“Just a lovely little place. Great experience all around. Close drive to everything important (Alamo, River Walk,etc.) One caution, if you’re a larger person or have mobility issues, the bathroom (toilet particularly) will be a serious challenge.”

“The place was great on the inside. Great interior design. The property is really clean and well-kept. The neighborhood is rough, as you can expect, being so close to the Alamodome. The outdoor flood lights and cameras made it feel a little more protected. The house is cute and well-equipped, and it was super convenient to get to the concert we were attending.”

“We loved the property location and the pool area is beautiful. However, there are a few small tweaks that could be done such as fixing the bathroom doors so they stay closed. The most troubling safety concern we had was the strong smell of natural gas and I was not sure that there were C02 detectors. The smell was the strongest in the laundry room so we opted not to use the washer and dryers. Otherwise, it was a lovely property.”

“This charming home was the perfect size for our family getaway. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, and a spacious living area. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the hosts communication was very good. My only complaint is that the house could have been cleaner. We noticed some dust and cobwebs in the corners, and unfortunately, we saw a few roaches during our stay. While this wasn't a major issue, it did detract slightly……

“Communication with Stephanie and Joe was unmatched, they got back to me immediately. We attended a concert at the Alamodome, and didn't have to deal with the chaos of traffic and ubers, we could walk there and got some dinner on the way. Definitely a great place to stay to explore San Antonio.”

“We stayed two nights last weekend and enjoyed our little getaway. A historic building and a little quirky, but very welcoming and just steps from the riverwalk. We felt very safe there and it was a bargain for the location. The bottle of wine was a nice touch!”

“Parking situation is critical, but should not add huge costs. 30 USD per night is more than expensive. Especially for guests!!”
