“When you step in this cabin, you immediately feel like you would want this for a home. It was spacious and we were a party of 6 adults. Very comfortably furnished, very clean and great supplies. Full kitchen with some dry goods, lots of dishes,silverware, cups, and even wine glasses and a drink shaker. Also 2 types of coffee makers. I know all of these are listed amenities but we were all still impressed. There were only 2 tiny complaints. Every door hinge was very squeaky so it was easy to wake……

“Emily has been a great host...very accommodating and quick to respond. The house and views are beautiful. The kitchen is well supplied with plenty of dishes, utensils, cups, etc. as well as small appliances, cookie sheets, etc. The coffee bar, with the additional beverage refrigerators were especially lovely and appreciated by our group. The house is conveniently located near the entrance to Snowshoe Mountain but they are not kidding about the 4 wheel drive requirement to reach the house when……

“This home is spacious, warm, and inviting. There are multiple bedroom accommodations and gathering spaces. The house was also decorated for the holidays, which was a nice touch. The 2 kitchens are well stocked with everything that we needed for our stay over the Thanksgiving week for 14 people. Communication from the host was excellent.”

“Quiet cabin to escape life’s demands! Beautifully renovated cabin near Green Bank Observatory, hiking trails, and ski resorts. Amazing large deck off the back of the cabin and another front deck near the firepit/ring. Hooks, storage cubbies, and bench in the huge mudroom. Baseboard heat worked well. Kitchen stocked with basics. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. Good WiFi. I hope to return again to Starry Night Retreat.”

“Outstanding property, beautiful inside and out, fully kitted with everything you could need for a large group. Made full use of the hot tub, sauna, and game room after getting back from skiing/snowboarding every night. Phenomenal collection of DVDs to watch as well. Would absolutely stay here again.Dominick was a top tier host - he demonstrated excellent communication, upfrontness, honesty, and ability for compromise on the fly as we navigated through sudden loss of water due to the cold temps……
