"Overall, this is a beautiful property with nice cabins and a gracious staff. The pool could use a total revamp, but with beach swimming so close by, it makes sense that it isn’t the resort’s main focus. I also expected a better restaurant and bar. They weren’t bad, but the options felt limited. For anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the west side of Kauai, I’d recommend it."

There is no HVAC, so know that even in winter, with warmer temps and sun, it gets fairly warm inside the house."

"We really enjoyed our week at Tiki Home. The 4 bedrooms downstairs were all sparkling clean, spacious and comfortable. The upstairs great room was a fun and comfortable place to spend time, with a fully stocked kitchen, multiple seating areas, and great natural light.Hanalei Bay beach is just a few minutes walk away, and the shops and restaurants in town are also very walkable. We appreciated the availability of beach towels, boogie boards, cruiser bikes and snorkeling gear. We definitely hope to stay here again. Mahalo, Greg."

"We loved the view, the gardens, the privacy the hot tub (the pool was too cool for us) The home was delightful. The cats were fun to interact with. The landscaping is beautiful. We are looking forward to visiting again…Chris and Emily."

"The house was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Location and proximity to town and beach is nice. Unfortunately the WiFi barely worked and there were a lot of rules about where you are allowed to plug in your devices that didn’t really make sense and were rather inconvenient. The host was nice and responsive when we called about an issue with the lights in one of the bathrooms. The stay was a mixed experience overall. The house would be fine if you’re really just using it as a home base and not planning to hang out there a lot."

"It was a terrible experience and I will never book with VRBO ever again. The island is closed down, our flights were canceled and the management company lacked any understanding, keeping all our money including cleaning fees. Completely disappointed and will never use VRBO or Beach Kauai Vacation Rentals ever again. "
