"This home is beautifully decorated and a great highend feel away from home. All of the amenities were great & the home is kept clean. The host was great with communication. My only negative is that the area outside the home has limited dining options other than at small place across the street that closes at 6pm 4 days a week and is more a yummy breakfast or lunch spot (also with kind owners). Also there is no Uber on the island, only Bolt and it's new so it may be hard at times to get drivers...

"Casa da Relva, we think, is probably a fairly newly renovated place. It was very clean and bright, and we were extremely pleased that it had clothes washer. Entry was easy, check out was too. We would have liked some patio furniture as well as a cupboard or chest of drawers in the bedroom, but we have a feeling those are coming soon. There was a nice welcome gift of wine, biscuits, and coffee, and an excellent notebook with instructions for appliances and suggestions and locations of...

"Wonderful location on the Ponta Delgada waterfront, with a small balcony. Our room was immaculate and spacious. Bathroom was very good. The parking situation has some problems. There is parking in a garage under the hotel for a reasonable fee, but only the upper level is connected by elevator to the hotel. The lower level has a separate entrance and difficult foot access. Parking spaces on both levels are too narrow."

"Pros: Beautiful property. I love the concept of converting a historic hospital into a hotel. Very clean and comfy rooms. The staff is very helpful, and packed breakfast for us on our early departure day. Love, love, love the beautiful pool in the courtyard. Very clean/clear water in the ~20 meter pool. I was able to do some lap swims in a refreshing pool, it's not heated, just the way I like it. Cons: Breakfast can improve a bit, not a lot of variety. The egg/ pancake station is nice but slow and has a long line. Maybe more people needed working it? The toaster is a problem, one side not working the 3 breakfast we attended... Need an industrial, conveyor style toaster to meet the demand. Being a historic building, I wish there were more explanation or display of facts and information about the building and hospital."

"Miguel at the bar was our main server and he was a big help. The meals at the restaurant were lovely - excellent view of the ocean. Food was great. Converting euros to CND$ makes it all feel quite expensive. But we felt overall that the value equation was there compared to other European destinations. Rooms were great, kept clean by cleaning staff. One recommendation is to invest in a larger TV for the Bar area. Watching the world cup on a 48 inch screen was somewhat comical. Great location as it was a short drive to Pont Delgado and the Santa Barbara Beach. Lovely stay. Want to return to the Azores soon."
