"The apartment is on the 3rd floor with great view of harbour and out to the ocean. There is everything needed for a comfortable stay including coffee machines, lots of cutlery and crockery etc. It is also ideally placed for bars, restaurants and shops in St Gilles Croix de Vie, which is a lovely vibrant town."

"As said in the title, first time in the Vendéé.Saint-Gilles is a typical french seaside village, which harbours all the joys one could expect from that.Perfect weather, strong tides at sea, lots of fine tiny restaurants in the village.Then, the house, petit as they say but o so complete for a holiday stay. All the necessities are there, the house is beautifully decorated, with additional furniture for the terrace. Located just 50 metres from the boulevard, and in with the village within walking range, it is the perfect spot for a holiday on the French coast.That said, we should mention Marylene, the owner and a perfect host.We will be back!!Regards, René & Dinie"

"Apartment was clean and well equipped with modern appliances although a tin opener and a clothes airer would have been useful. The apartment overlooked the marina where there was always some activity , le Grand Plage was only a few steps away The garage would not take a car bigger than a Fiat 500 and the entrance to the garage area was dark. There was an issue with the lock on the door which Nicholas immediately rectified , can’t ask for more. Keys need to be collected from Allo Vendee. St Gilles was very vibrant as it was a holiday weekend. We visited old haunts - Noirmoutier, St . Hilaire de Rez, Bretignolles and St Jean de Monts. Would recommend the property as long as you are aware of the garage situation"

"Good. Major drawback was unexpected cost of parking ( 10 euros per day ). Hotels.com should have forewarned us ( ie next to the « self parking « tick on advert. Also no fridge. But room just about big enough’. Bed comfortable."

"The hotel was unusual in its decor however it was clean and well kept. The room was adequate with great a cleaning service. The breakfasts were well organised and everything you needed. The proprietor was an amazing man. He was pleasant helpful and helped with my French pronunciations. He had amazing sense of humour I would definitely visit again Well done "
